Only the most cruel, and most vicious mind could make someone with such a innocent, tender hurt, can gain someone's trust, watch someone in their worst and their best, and then become a traitor. Such a people shouldn't be allowed to live, because eventually all they will be able to do, is to cause pain, because they will never be able to know better.

Zorya wanted to scream, she wanted to hit someone, something, she felt so stupid, so naive.

"Zorya..." Darius touched her face, he made her look at him. In his eyes, she searched for evil as well, but all she could see was pain, he wouldn't hurt her, he refused to hurt her even on the battlefield.

"Take me to the forest." Zorya said.

Without a single word said, he took her hand in his own and soon they two found themselves leaving the castle. They silently made their way into the forest , completely alone, only the nature was there for them, as the sun was slowly setting down.

As soon as Zorya felt enough far from the people she lied down on the grass exhausted. Darius came beside her.

"I am sorry for what happened today, I never meant for this to happen, if those children haven't seen her trying to poison you, I am afraid what would happen. Please forgive me for not protecting you." Darius said.

"Darius, you cannot shield me from all the world." Zorya answered calmly.

"That is my duty."

"Are you afraid of losing me, or you consider protecting me just your duty?!" Zorya snapped.

Darius looked at her before answering, she was so beautiful, but soon the dark will fall and he won't be able to see her anymore, if the moon doesn't decide to help his blemished eyes he hated with such a passion.

"Not having you by my side, would be the end of me. I wouldn't be able to bare to lose anyone else dear to me. I don't think my heart would survive if something happened to you." Darius finally managed to say.

"Why does everything you say sound like a poetry?"

Darius chuckled at her words.

How much true there was in his words, in his eyes that no matter how damaged were perfect to her. His flaws, insecurities were there, for her to see, and yet she felt warm in her chest. Without thinking, she pulled him into a heated kiss, pressing her body against his, that he gladly accepted in his arms.

"Are you sure?" whispered against her neck.

"You are the King, you can take what you want." Zorya answered.

"I want you."

Zorya wasn't afraid anymore, and so under the pale moonlight, their bodies were brought together, into something that made them forget every sorrow they ever felt, every pain, it was only them, and they never wished to leave each other's arms.
