"You should get some rest, Astrid."
I didn't notice he's now awake or does he even took a nap for the past twenty minutes? Elsa is still sound asleep like a baby and I don't want to wake her up by just doing a sudden movement.
I look back at him, his crystal green eyes looking still at me."I'm not tired." I say with a slight smile.
"I know something is bothering you." Hiccup asks.
One thing that he always surprises me is he knows what's going on in someone's head. I don't know if it's a skill he learned or it's part of his set of abilities but it never fails to put a surprise in my face. It's like he can hear someone's thoughts.
Once I was sitting at the school garden at that same very day to find a quiet and cool place to study for a quiz in literature when I notice Hiccup passing by while reading a book. My eyes follows him as he passes by.
This guy just arrived today and yet I already think he's weird. There's something about him that makes me uncomfortable, especially when we made eye contact during Mrs. Rudolph's class and at the cafeteria.
The way he looks at me is like he knows who I am, yet I don't know him. I've never encountered a guy that strange.Suddenly, he stops in his tracks and his head whipped to my direction. I quickly look away. Hopefully he didn't saw me looking at him.
I rummage through my bag, pretending to find something inside and hopefully when I look back up he's gone. Yet I was wrong.
When I look back up, I saw him already crouched down in front of me.
I shouted in surprise that I thought my heart just came out of my mouth."What the-" I mutter under my breath.
He sits there emotionless, looking straight at my face like he did the last two times this morning.
"What do you want?" I ask trying to sound calm.
He didn't say anything and just stand up, turn around and walk away like nothing happened.
My heart is still racing inside my chest as I watch him walk away. That's it. He's weird. He is totally weird!
After class I rush to get out of the room, I can't stand sitting next to Hiccup for even one more second. He may look normal when he sits there next to me while answering the quiz but he gives me goosebumps that I can't even concentrate with my own paper.
"Astrid, are you going home already?" Ruffnut calls out to me.
"Yeah, I need to go home and help my Mom with dinner." I lied. I'm not helping Mom with dinner, for sure we're having deliveries tonight. I just need some alibi so that Ruffnut won't get suspicious of my sudden rush to get home.
I walk out the campus gates along with the other students. I need to freshen my head off, and some Milk tea with chewy chocolate pearls will do.
I go to my favorite coffee shop that serves the best Milk tea in the city, the Night Cove Coffee Shop and ordered a large cup of Hokaido Milk Tea.
I took a seat right next to the shop's wide open window and enjoy my beverage. Nothing beats a cold drink after a day of stress. The shop looks busy today, costumers are filling in the tables and standing in line at the counter.
While sipping from my cup and looking around the shop I notice three guys sitting at a table near the counter. My heart almost jump out from my chest when I see Hiccup sitting there while drinking from a bottle of strawberry milk.
I quickly turn around. Out of all places why would I end up seeing him here again?!
I took a peek at him from over my shoulder. Jack is sitting next to him while holding a cute kitten that he's feeding with his slice of cake.
