I wake up early the next day. Daehan is also awake so I decided that we should head downstairs to breathe some fresh air in the garden and maybe, help make breakfast for everyone.
When we reach the garden, I found Stoick and Mr. Belch having coffee while sitting on a bench having a serious conversation, I think.
"Papa!" Daehan squeals when he sees Stoick.
They both turn their heads to look at me and smiles curve on their faces. "Why, good morning." Stoick greets us.
"Good morning, sir." I say.
Daehan reaches for his grandfather, so Stoick took him in his arms and stands up, dancing slowly while tickling Daehan's stomach.
"Your grandson really looks like Hiccup." Mr. Belch say. "I remember when Hiccup was still a babe, he used to pull my mustach that's why I have to shave it every time."
I couldn't help but smile as I tried to imagine how Hiccup and Mr. Belch look like together.
He suddenly looks at me and smiles, "Good morning, Ms. Hofferson."
"Good morning, sir." I say with a nod.
"Gobber, I'll just go make my grandson his formula," Stoick say. "I'll be right back."
"Sure, take yer time." Gobber say.
Stoick went back inside with Daehan, leaving me and Mr. Belch here in an awkward silence.
"So, Ms. Hofferson," Mr. Belch say. "How are you coping up with yer new environment?"
"It's fine sir...a little bit shaken from all...this but I'm trying to keep up." I say.
He pats the empty seat on the bench where Stoick sat, "Sir down my dear."
I did as told and sit there quietly as he takes a few sips from his mug of coffee while looking far away. "You know, I've never seen such an interesting girl as you are."
"Pardon?" I ask, confused.
"Stoick told me yer an adopted child, you don't know who you really are not until Hiccup came to tell you everything, which also brings more revelation from the people you didn't expect to be part of yer life now." He say, and took another sip from his mug. "You're a Champion, yet we don't know any of your origins. I bet yer mind's confused and lost right now."
"It is, sir." I say. "It's a bit sad that I don't even know who I really am, where I really came from, who my real family is. Only Diana is the only person that keeps me thinking more about everything."
"If only, I could help you find who you really are," he say, in a sad voice. "I bet the Oracle showed you Diana's last events, yet it didn't show you anything that could lead you to the truth...well maybe there's a little but still no help."
