Part 33

"Astrid! Hurry up or we'll be late!"

I got out of the shower hair still dripping wet, wrapped in a towel. I get dressed in whatever clothes I grab from the closet and with a towel still wrapped around my head, I grab my backpack and head downstairs where everyone is already waiting for me.

"Young Lady!" William called, running after me.

"Yes?" I ask looking at him over my shoulder.

"You have a towel on your head." He say, pointing at the towel wrap around my head.

"Oh, right." I took off the towel and toss it at him. "Thank William, see you later!"

I rush out of the house and got into the car where Hiccup is waiting for me. He's going to drive me to The Society tower for the fashion show Liliana signed me up for.

"You look hideous even after taking a bath." Hiccup commented, pushing the hairs that stick on my face behind my ears.

I give him an annoyed look and playfully hit him on the shoulder. "Just drive okay?" I say.

Hiccup started the engine and drive out into the streets.

It's been a year since I killed Morgana in thar dark room. I wasn't awake to see how we got out, but Liliana found us and took us out of there. It was Morgana's old lair that Liliana took down the night we were attacked during Stoick's party. Wait, maybe I shouldn't call him by his first name, because he's my future father-in-law now. Yes, Hiccup and I are getting married in six months time, after we graduate in highschool. I don't know, it just happened so fast but I can't deny I want that to happen, especially if I'm marrying the love of my life.

There was one thing Morgana had wrong about being immortal. Liliana said that Morgana's immortality remained yet once she's killed she can never come back to life again like before, the Gods had taken her ability of resurrection when she turned her back from good. Liliana begged the Gods not to take her in hoping she would change, but she was wrong.

Now, Morgana is no more.

I'm getting married! My parents were not against it because I'll be turning eighteen before that happens, and are supportive of us. Our friends were the most thrilled people because finally, they're going to witness a party where no one will ever bother or attack us.

"Make sure you won't take that ring off okay?" Hiccup say.

I look at my hand, where a simple gold ring with a small diamond is on my finger. My engagement ring.

"I'll convince my stylists not to." I say.

We arrive at the building where everyone is busy decorating the runway that's being put up for the show. Racks of clothes are everywhere and models are running around in stylish clothes and makeup done.

"Astrid! Hurry up darling time is running!" Luca pull me to a corner and begin doing my makeup and Clover did her magic on my hair.

They dress me in a pretty, white tulle dress with butterflies and flowers decorated on it.

"There! Something for the bride-to-be to wear on her first runway." Liliana say as she arrive in a fancy fur coat. "You look beautiful, darling."

"Thank you." I say and hug her.

"Alright now, let's go backstage, the show is starting!" She say pushing me gently towards the back. "And don't forget to smile."

Pop music begin to play and Liliana steps up the stage to begin her speech.

"Hey Hofferson." I turn around to see Heather, dressed in another tulle dress in black color with golden flowers on it.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Congratulations on your engagement." She say with a big smile and hugged me.

I hug her back though I feel kind of awkward, but it's a one time opportunity so I let her. "Uh...thank you." I say.

Heather pulls away, "Hey, I'm still the prettiest of us two." She say. "But I'll let you have that for today, enjoy the show."

She went back to her place in the line.

I playfully roll my eyes. At least she's not annoying me...in a bad way.

I think Heather already accepted me and Hiccup, or maybe she's just being nice knowing we're getting married soon, overall I'm glad we're starting a good relationship with each other. To be honest, everything started to get better in my life. My parents are back in our old house in the subdivision, they often visit me here since I can't go home so easily because of work and studies here, and Stoick is very generous to let them stay in their house whenever they visit. They also accepted Daehan as their early... grandson. Daehan's turning three and he's becoming a very nice and handsome boy like his father.

I'm planning to pursue my career in modelling and I might get a fashion course in college.

Hiccup is participating in government work with his Dad, and would plan to have a course that's related to politics.

Elsa finally become Jack's girlfriend and are going stronger day by day.

Same goes to Hiro and Gogo who are currently in Japan for a vacation.

And he best part is, we're now members of the Council. Liliana's so thrilled that she can now have more time for herself and not worry about anything as long as we're around to protect our own kind.

I smile as the thoughts run through my head.

The models one by one begin to walk the ramp as rounds of applause begin to roar in the room.

I walk down the ramp with all smiles like Liliana wants me to do and with full confidence. I spot my friends at the crowd where Elsa is holding up her iPad where Hiro and Gogo are watching me from their screen in Japan. I give them a wink before doing a couple of poses when I reach the end of the runway before turning around and walk backstage.

After the show, my friends gather at the back with a big bouquet of flowers and congratulated me for my performance.

"You look so amazing! I always knew you were fit to be a model." Elsa say, hugging me tight.

"I even caught it on video." Jack say, showing his camera.

"Thanks guys," I say. "I wouldn't have done it without your support."

"Mama!"

We all turn around to see a little boy running towards me.

I pick him up and give him quick kisses on his face. "Muwah!" I give my baby boy a big kiss on the cheek.

"Mama you look so pretty!" Daehan say and give me a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you baby." I say and kiss his cheek again.

"Whoa, easy on the kisses," Hiccup appeared behind me. "Or else there won't be anything left for Daddy."

I chuckle and give my fiance a hug and kiss him on the lips.

"You did great, m'lady." He say and kiss me on the forehead.

"Mama let's drink Milk tea!" Daehan say as he cling on to me.

We all laugh at Daehan's cuteness. You already know where the kid got his obsessions in Milk tea.

Well, that's all I can tell you about my life for now. It's a fun rollercoaster ride with a lot of jump scares and thrills. I don't know if your guys are thrilled but... it's my life, and I'm sure Evil is still lurking out there, but whenever they try to crash the party, my friends and I will be ready to kick their butts.
