Reckless cousin

Vanessa's POV
I don't know what's happening with Billie. All I know is that it's good.
"You aight mammas?" Billie said interrupting my thoughts.
"Yeah. Just a little worried that's all."
"About what?"
"About every thing. About how we are gonna catch this guy,about..well actually that's the only thing I'm worried about right now." I explained slightly laughing.
"You'll get him."
"Yeah I know. It's just the fact that... this type of killer wants to get close to you. And I'm not gonna let that happen."
"I know you won't mammas." She said taking my hand in her's and kissing it.
"Here play us some music." She said handing me the AUX cord.  After I plugged it up I looked for a song. One stuck out at me so I turned it on.
"I don't know if you know this one but I think it's good. Just listen?"
"Ok." Then Dead by Madison Beer came on. About three seconds in the song Billie looked at me.
"What?"
"Nothing. You just have awesome taste in music."
"Thanks. I'm not really a genre type of person I like all types."
"Me too." She said smiling at me.
We pulled up to the police station as I saw Billie tense up. I put my hand on her thy.
"I hate this place." She said her eyes filling with tears.
"Sometimes I do too. But it's not your fault someone is seriously messed up. You don't know how many times I have to tell myself that." I whispered the last part for myself not meaning for her to hear it. But apparently she did. She turned her head towards me. Placed a hand on my face and pulled me closer. She gently kissed me. Slowly. Luckily her windows are tinted. Someone knocked at the window. She pulled away and looked at me. I smiled at her nodded for her to roll down the window.
"What?" She snapped at Finneas.
"Okay so I agreed that you two can be.... you... but we have a stalker to catch." He explained.
"Shut the hell up." She said getting out of the car.
"What did you do? She was in a good mood until now." Finneas whispered as he asked me that.
"She is being stalked. By a murder. The police... as in me are getting ready to question her. And you. Go easy." I explained to Finneas.
"Okay." he said
"I just wish I could help her."
"I know. I do to." I said giving him a sympathetic look. I walked into the police station and immediately walked into the captains office.
"Who the hell are you." I snapped at some skank.
"Marci who the hell are you." I'm not in the mood today bitch.
"Vanessa. His cousin. Get the hell out before I drag you out."
"Whatever. Call me later baby." She said standing up zipping up her dress in the front she walked past me and out of the police station.
"What the hell Gorge. You know being the police captain does not mean you can get hoes to come in here and fuck." I practically yelled at him.
"Okay calm the fuck down nessa."
"What the hell ever. Give me my damn gun. Now."
"Okay Jesus. Let me... oh no.. I didn't copy the papers."
"WHAT. THE. FUCK." I kept my calm. Mostly.
"I'm sorry I- " He didn't get to finish his sentence because I tried to smack some since into him.
"Ow- thank you". He said sincerely
"Your welcome. Now get the paperwork printed, give my team permission to use an interrogation room, and fix your shirt you have lipstick on your face." I told him. He nodded. We both walked out and he led us to a private room that looked almost exactly like the one back in New York.
"Okay cuz all yours." He said starting to walk out.
"Gorge wait. I'd like you to meet my friend Finneas, his sister Billie, my brother Bright, his girlfriend Dani, My friend J.T., and my boss and friend Gal."
"It's nice to meet all of you. My precinct is yours. I heard a lot about this guy. Catch him."
"We will." I told him. Then he walked out.
"That is your biological cousin?" Bright asked.
"Don't remind me." I said putting my pointer finger and thumb on the bridge of my nose.
"Let's get to work."
*Cough* I looked at J.T.
"Guns." He pointed out as if it was obvious.
"My dumb ass of a cousin didn't print the papers. So we're gonna have to wait."
"Oh come on." Dani sighed.
"Okay I know how frustrating it is. But we have some things to do without our guns. Let's get to work." Gal said.
We all nodded and sat down at the table.
"I had no idea you had family here." Billie said to me.
"I only have him. He moved down here just to take the station."
"Oh." She said slanting in her seat.
Let's get this over and done with.
