CHAPTER 36

Janet followed Jason to the only place she knew he would be in the time of crisis, their mother's grave. He leaned down touching her tombstone. "You ok?" She asked as she squatted beside him. Jason shook his head. "Are you?" Janet scoffed, as she hugged herself from the cold. "As fucked up as our family is, I doubt we will ever be okay." Jason laughed softly. "Do you believe Dan? Wilson couldn't have..." The anger rose again as his sister spoke about Wilson. The betrayer to him now and forever.

"He did Janet. It all makes sense. We can't fucking trust anyone but each other." He retorted, cutting her off with a snappy attitude. "You are wrong. You can trust Alyssa. I don't see her betraying you in any way." Janet replied, with a smile, nudging him slightly. "You going to see her later?" Jason stared at his phone. "Yes, in the next hour. What are you going to do?" Janet shrugged. "I don't know. Shit's just getting crazy you know?" Jason laughed. "And Alyssa believes her family isn't as bad as mines." Janet laughed then. "She just doesn't know does she?"

"I can't believe Dan was an actual victim. I felt bad for him a little." Janet continued pulling out the gifts he left them. "What's that?" Jason asked grabbing the box. "Our Christmas gift from Dan. I waited for you to open it." They looked at each other and opened the box together to reveal Diamond necklaces with their names. "Wow. Aren't these the ones mom bought us a while back that we lost once we moved?"

Jason smiled at the remembrances of his mother's laugh and smile when she gave them the necklaces when they were little. "It looks like Dan kept them for us that son of a bitch." He said with a smile this time. He placed his back into the box while Janet placed hers on. "Thanks, mom." She said, kissing her hand then placing it on the tomb.

"Merry Christmas." Jason greeted as he walked into Alyssa's house, kissing her on the cheeks. "Merry Christmas. How was your dinner?" Jason turned around with his hands in his pockets with a shrug. "It looked good. I just didn't eat it." He answered calmly. "Family fight? I thought you and Wilson were good?" She walked over to the tree she had up to pull a gift from the bottom. "This is for you." Jason touched his chest with a shocked look. "You bought me a gift?"

Alyssa smiled and crossed her arms. "Um yeah. Isn't that what girlfriends do for their boyfriend?" Jason kissed her on her lips hard before responding. "Thank you." He handed her an envelope. "And Merry Christmas to you." They opened at the same time as Jason got a Lakers jersey while Alyssa opened her eyes to see plane tickets. "Oh my God. Are these for Jamaica?" She covered her mouth with her hands excited as Jason smiled pulling out his jersey.

"Yeah, you told me that was your dream place to go. We can leave for new years. I love my gift by the way. Thank you. I can't believe you were listening when I was talking about basketball." She looked shocked. "I listen to you." She objected. Jason's mouth turned to the side in disbelief. "I was half naked when I talked to you about it so I just knew you didn't hear me, but I was wrong. Thank you." He leaned in and kissed her again.

"I can't believe you bought me tickets to Jamaica." Jason shrugged. "it's not like I'm busy. The Sanders building is on lockdown for the investigation so I don't have any clients waiting for me. I need a vacation with you, please come with me." He pouted, wrapping his arms around her, pulling her up playfully. "I'm not saying no if that's what you're thinking." She replied. He placed her back on the ground. "Good. Will your job let you off?" Alyssa shrugged. "We are off for the holidays anyway so it's fine." Jason smiled wider. "Perfect. So tell me how did it go with your family?"

They sat on the couch together as Alyssa talked about how her day went. "And my grandma got up and started shaking her booty and I was like oh my god. Not the booty squeeze." Jason laughed. "Your grandmother sounds interesting. I would love to meet her one day. Did your cousins love their gifts?"

"Yes. They ran me over trying to get the toys I bought them, but they are my babies though." Jason smiled softly. "How about dinner with Janet and Wilson? You never told me..."

"It was terrible. I don't want to lie to you, but I just don't want to think about it right now." Alyssa could feel the small pull away movement he made and the finality in his tone to drop the conversation. "Speaking of Janet." He reached into his pockets and pulled out a small box. "Janet says Merry Christmas."

"Wow, I didn't expect your sister to get me anything." She opened it to see a sparkling pen with her name in glitter designs on it. "How did she know I would like this?" She asked in awe because she loved it. Jason shrugged. "A little birdy must've told her." He joked. "Well, that little birdy was right. Thank you." She leaned in and took over his lips this time. This kiss deepening with passion and desire. So much so, Jason had to lean away because his penis was becoming incredibly hard.

"Don't tease me." He smirked. She leaned in again this time crossing her legs over his pelvis so she was now mounting on top of him, feeling the hard penis against her. "It will be payback for last Sunday." She replied causing Jason to laugh. "I love you." He said kissing her again with his hand cradling her head and the other pulling her body closer. "Just lay with me. I will save myself for Jamaica and then I will make you beg me." He joked, laughing as she lifted her head. "Beg? Alyssa doesn't beg no one." She replied, trying to get out of his lap, but he didn't allow her to move. "Jason isn't just anyone." He teased, biting her neck as she laughed, getting pushed onto the couch.

"Now let's go watch this Christmas movie before it's almost over." He helped her up and they walked to her bedroom.
