CHAPTER 51

The next night Dan sat in his office in the dark still in shock about the news he just received about Melissa and his baby dying. His hands shook as he grabbed the bottle on his desk, drinking out of it without a cup as fresh tears fell down his face. He had lost everything. Not only his wife but now a child he would never know. The constant pain of losing the ones he even started to care about began to weigh heavily on him.

"Is this the great Dan Sanders crying in the dark over a whore?" His eyes glanced over to the speaker, but he never put down the bottle. "I never thought I would see the day?" He placed the bottle down as Bianca walked up through the darkness. "Come to curse me some more Bianca?" She pouted. "It looks like you have done a fantastic job of that on your own. Drinking for the dead woman you were sleeping with?" Dan hit the table. "She was carrying my baby. I wanted the child damn you!" He threw the bottle across the room failing to hit his target in his drunken state.

Bianca never moved. "You have two other kids Dan." Dan tsked. "They fucking hate me." Bianca laughed at his remark of truth. "I mean rightfully so, you have been less than a father to them. Look at what you're doing to your daughter? Your son? Why can't you let this shit go?"

"I love my kids!" He screamed, hitting the table again. "This is your fault! You fucking bitch!" Bianca folded her arms. "Dan Sanders, this is why you are fucked. You can't take any responsibility for your own actions. I wonder what your wife would say if she saw you now..."

"Shut up." He yelled out, but she continued. "Crying over some random whore you manipulated into sleeping with you so you could have another child you could raise as the heir to your sick fantasy of a career. You know you lost Jason and Janet already. They will never forgive you." Dan held his forehead again. "Shut up." He knocked all the decorations off his desk as she shook her head. "You are falling apart Dan and I almost feel sorry for you, but I know the real you. You are only falling apart because you are losing Dan. The empire you built off the curse is crumbling."

He stood now, stumbling, but strong as ever as he grabbed her neck knocking her to the wall. "I said shut up! Why are you even here?" Bianca laughed hard causing him to loosen his grip. "You are a crazy bitch." He replied, releasing her completely. "I came to see how you were holding up and I was right. I just wanted you to maybe have learned your lesson. The curse can be over Dan if you just learn to stop being so selfish and such a dick. It can end."

"I don't want it to end!" He screamed back. "I take every ounce of the blame for Cheryl's death. I let fucking Wilson live in her name because she loved him. This curse is all I have left and I'll be damned I let you or Jason or anyone else ruin what I built!" Bianca crossed her arms again. "You are unbelievable Dan Sanders. I gave you this curse to punish you and somehow you have turned it around for your own good. It's almost admirable. You are strong Dan, I will give you that." He began to laugh at her compliments. A hearty laugh that caused him to fall to his knees in his drunken state. Bianca's eyebrows rose in curiosity. "Talking about me being crazy?"

"Admirable after everything that I have done? The most I have done is love my wife. The one thing I ever loved! The one thing!" He pointed at her as he continued. "And you took her away from me and you come here acting righteously like you didn't enjoy fucking me every chance you got. You are no better than me so quit the bullshit." Bianca pouted. "I just thought maybe you will change. I didn't kill your wife Dan, you and I both know that." She said as she walked out the room.

"She's right you know, it was my fault. I killed Cheryl." Dan rolled his eyes annoyed at the voice holding the pounding headache. "Wilson, please who let you in? I can't deal with you right now." He stepped into view as Dan sat back at his desk. "I just wanted to apologize for Melissa and Cheryl and to see how you were holding up. I wasn't fond of Melissa of course, but she didn't deserve to die." Dan scoffed as he spoke. "Definitely not the baby."

"Just get out," Dan replied, turning his back. Wilson didn't respond. He just left Dan in the darkness alone to ponder on his thoughts.
