(A/N: 3k reads!?!?! That's insane!)
The Prince was known to be egoistical, self-centered, a brute. A man with no boundaries, a man that lacked intelligence as far as it concerned you. Your father was the exact same, so it was no surprise that he wanted you to get married off to Prince Charming. You forced yourself not to throw a fit when your father demanded to marry the man, so you sucked your teeth and stormed out of the throne room.
Tonight you were seated directly opposite the Prince, as he never failed to steal glances of you, seductively eating his food. Rolling your eyes, you turned to you father,
"May I be excused?" You asked, sweetly. Your father stared in response, furrowing his bushy brows,
"You haven't even eaten anything!" He protested, trying his best to make you stay and have a word with your new fiancé. You smiled sweetly once again,
"I already ate, father. I shall be reading in the balcony if anyone needs me." You said, hurryingly getting up and out of the dining room. Taking a deep breath in, you admired the fresh air, and you propped yourself up onto a small chair and opened a small book. Of course, nothing good ever lasts, so you heard someone call your name.
"Princess (Y/N).." The Prince beckoned for you, and you sat in your chair, looking at him,
"What is it?" You asked, curtly. He scoffed at your mannerism, and presented himself closer to you.
"Would you mind placing the book down, so we can have a little talk?" He asked, and you ignored him, deliberately flipping a page, and looking down. He scoffed once again, snatching your book,
"Just talk to me." He pleaded, and you huffed, crossing your arms.
"If I wanted to, I would've done so at dinner." You fired back. He sighed, staring at you intently.
"You're feisty." He stated, still staring at you. Glaring at him, you proceeded to walk off, but he grabbed your arm,
"Princess, I swear I don't understand what's wrong with you? Every lady wants me and yet you do not. Are you ill?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. You couldn't tell if he was joking or being serious, and you smacked his hand off.
"No one touches the Princess like that, Charming. I assume you will have to find another woman who is more willing to you than I." You stated, clearly.
"What if we were to get to know each other, go on a walk perhaps?" He asked.
"No," You responded bitterly, "I would never in my life want that to happen, it's impossible for me to even imagine it!" The Prince grunted in response, trying his best to formulate a way to have you his.
"You're playing hard to get, and to be frank, I don't like it." He asserted. You smirked in response, getting closer to him, face just inches apart from his.
"Life isn't fair." You whispered, gently patting his cheek, before strutting off. The Prince watched you go, and he chuckled to himself. He was going to make you his wife, and there was no way you could dodge that...
