"Scott! Scott?" A teenage girl hollered, looking frantically around.
The teen, Emilia Scott had been looking all over her neighborhood for the past two hours trying to find her dog Scott. Finding out begrudgingly later on that he was a very good hider, and runner much to Emilia's distraught.
She sighed, running a frustrated hand through her dark locks. 'Where could've the dog had gone?' Emilia was completely baffled. She'd looked through every single area in the district that could possible come to mind, from the Cassidy's and the Everett's, to Elderly Mrs. Benson.
She bent down wearily, panting. Her legs sore from practically running for the past couple of hours. That dog could run.
Sweat trailed down her forehead all the way to her mouth, her taste buds instantaneously discerning the flavor of salt. She almost felt like giving up. Almost.
But, despite her tiredness and annoyance at her three month puppy unexpected escapade, she couldn't just give up. First off, because her mother would be furious at her, which was never a pretty sight. But additionally, she wanted to show to her whole family that she could be responsible. That she wasn't just some clumsy bookworm that they unknowingly hinted at occasionally.
Emilia's eyes suddenly snapped to attention, seeing a quick golden blur rush by Mrs. Daphne's house. She instinctively grinned. I've got you now you little fur ball.
She sped off after the puppy, more determined than ever.
