Eden chucked another rock at the sea, watching expressionlessly as it skipped along the water momentarily, before it disappeared under the deep blue depths.
Her eyes glared tersely at the the calm waters, tension burdening her slim shoulders, as she clenched her fist. Ugly, untamed anger roaring in Eden's chest as envy claimed her, thinking back to that precious scene between her Tatum, and that bitch Emilia.
What did Tatum even see in her?
She threw another rock more roughly, imagining it was Emilia's face.
"You know, if you let that jealously consume you any longer your face will start to become green" A voice snarked from behind her
Recognizing the voice, Eden rolled her eyes "I didn't seem to remember asking for your input" She retorted back scathingly, tilting her head to meet brazen chestnut eyes.
Nikolai threw her his signature cocksure smirk. A smirk that never failed to make a girl swoon, everyone besides Eden of course. She firmly believed that his smirks made him appear even more annoyingly egoistical than he already was, a puffed up peacock with too much pride.
"Perhaps" he said shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly "But then again I never have listened to you"
"That's probably because you can't tell the difference between right and wrong"
He feinted mock hurt "Ouch Ede don't take all this out on me" another smirk spread onto his lips "save that bitchy energy for Emilia Wentz"
Her beautiful face twisted into a snarl.
"Don't say that girl's name" She bit out hotly, the sunset sun making her honey irises look like blazing golden flames.
Nikolai shot her a lazy smile "Really ruffled your feathers eh?" He mocked cruelly, his smile increasing when he saw Eden's hands shaking.
Her head reared on him like a snake's. "And what about you?" She hissed out "What with your serious daddy and mommy issues. Or even better yet how yo-"
Nikolai cut her off, his eyes flashing menacingly "Don't you fucking dare finish that sentence Eden" All previous playfulness extinguished from his eyes.
"Or what? You'll murder me in cold blood like you did him?" She sneered back, venom laced in her words.
In less than a second, Nikolai's hand was clutched tightly around Eden's throat, choking her.
"Don't provoke me Eden Olivera" He said darkly "After all, it would be a shame if I had to break your pretty little neck" A sadistic maniacal gleam in his eyes as he watched Eden try to grasp for breath.
"Y-you....psycho....b-burn i-in he-ell" She choked out, clawing at his hands to release her.
But his grip on her throat only got stronger. He leaned down to her ear, his hot breath sending uneasy shivers down Eden's spine.
"Gladly" Nikolai finally released his hold on Eden, the girl instantly inhaling several gulps of air. "I can't wait to see you there" His stone cold and detached voice conflicting with the sharp shark like grin he gave her, one that promised pain if she ever brought up that topic again.
Without another word towards her, Nikolai took his leave, departing from a terrified blonde girl in his midst. His loud footsteps pounding sinisterly against the wooden dock.
