Today was the day. And Emilia couldn't have been more bitter about it. Especially with who was coming along on the trip....
Flashback one day ago....
"Hey Emilia wait up!" Tony called frantically rushing to catch up to her.
Hearing her name, Emilia spun to find Tony running towards her at an alarming speed. She waited for him reach her as she took in his disheveled appearance, Tony's golden hair a mess, and his normally bright beryl blue-green eyes now looking exhausted.
He forced a grin as he finally caught up with her.
"Hey! How's my favorite lady doing today?" He asked teasingly but Emilia could still detect something was off. The stiff rigidness of his shoulders, his false smile, all of it didn't add up.
"Good" She replied back "But I should be asking how you are" Emilia creased her eyebrows in worry "Are you okay Blondie?" She asked delicately not wanting to come off as too nosy.
His forged smile dropped. He didn't immediately give her a response as he shifted his eyes to the floor, not directly meeting her own.
But just as Emilia decided to let the matter go and switch to a different topic he graced her with a clipped response.
"Family issues" he said rushing the words out as if they were poison in his throat.
Emilia nodded. She understood that all too well. To Tony's relief, she swiftly changed the subject, not prying any further into the issue.
"So are you going on the annual camping trip?"
Tony immediately shook his head "No"
Emilia tilted her head "Why not?"
Tony scrunched his nose in utter disgust "Bugs. I hate bugs" He spit out looking horrified at the aspect.
Emilia couldn't help but giggle at his expression. "Bugs?" She asked mystified
Tony scoffed "Yes bugs" he shuddered "Every kind. Spiders, ants, grasshoppers, beetles, bees, hornets. All of them creep me out!"
Emilia shook her head, horribly failing at withholding a grin. "Who knew the golden boy's fear was bugs?"
He scowled "It's not funny Em!" He whined "This is a serious fear"
Peering at his sulking face, Emilia stopped.
"Okay fine. But come on!" Emilia said pulling a face "I need someone to go with me"
"What about the other kids that go?" Tony questioned
