"No!"

"Yes!!"

"No!"

"Your going" Lilac demanded hotly

"You can't make me"

She smirked "Wanna bet?"

Emilia's eyes narrowed to slits "What are you going to do? Drag me?"

"No" Lilac stated "I'll just get mom"

Emilia's eyes bulged "Wa-wait that's not fair you can't pull the mom card on me!"

"Oh dear little sister I can pull whatever card I want. I'm older than you" Her older sister cooed sounding to Emilia's annoyance, very condescending.

"Huh could've fooled me. I think you still act like a five year old" Emilia retorted grinning

Lilac rolled her eyes "Oh come on. Why won't you go on this trip! I thought you loved camping!"

To give context, the annual Queensburry camping trip was transpiring in two days. Emilia's teachers had given them a permission slip for their parents or legal guardians to sign, but really it was the teens decision, not the adults.

Lots of the kids didn't want to go on the camping trip, which explained the consistent low number of campers every year.
Although it didn't surprise Emilia that little came, she couldn't imagine girls like Eden trying to sleep in a tent for three days, the thought instantly made her crack up inside her head.

Emilia must have zoned out because as she set her mind back to the present her sister Lilac was still ranting about how this was such a great opportunity.

"I'm sorry" Emilia said cutting off Lilac's ongoing tirade "But why do you want me to go on this camping trip so badly? What's in it for you?"

Lilac gasped dramatically "I'm hurt sis that you would think there was someone in it for me. Why sister I just want the best for you!" She blubbered with a pouted lip.

Emilia arched a brow "Really?" She asked disbelievingly

Lilac frowned "Of course"

She sighed at Emilia's bewildered look "I mean it. Your always been an introvert, and well no offense but you seriously need to start making some new friends"

Emilia crossed her arms stubbornly "I don't know whether or not to be offended. I mean I'm flattered that you care about my social life, but insulted that you don't think I have friends"

"Do you really?"

"Yes! I have several!" Emilia snapped back defensively

"Okay" Lilac said shrugging "Name three friends"

Emilia gulped inwardly.

Ah shiitake mushrooms!

"Well..there's umm...there's that girl uhh Emma yeah Emma! She's my friend!" Emilia said stumbling over what to say. She looked over to see Lilac wasn't buying any of the crap she was spewing.

"You hated Emma Gildin. You said she reminded you of a goldfish" Lilac deadpanned firmly

"Her face was a replicate of a goldfish okay! There was ummm...John Rivers"

"The boy who stuck gum into your hair everyday in middle school?"

"Yes! That's the one! We're friends!"

Lilac just stared at her. And god, Lilac's stare unnerved her almost as much as Tatum's did. Emilia felt like a flower then and there, delicate, and slowly wilting under the pressure from her sister's harsh gaze.

After a few minutes Emilia gave up trying to withstand against her sister's smoldering stare.

"Okay fine. I'll go"

Lilac's eyes light up like light bulbs, clapping her hands excitedly like a child on Christmas. "Yeah! Okay now that I've convinced you, the most important part is next"

"Asking for mom's permission?" Emilia asked unsurely

Lilac snorted as if she thought the idea was ludicrous. "No silly. The next step is packing!" She said eagerly grabbing Emilia's hand before she could openly object.

Groaning, she allowed her sister to drag her to her closet. Once Lilac's grasp on her slipped, Emilia flopped ungracefully onto her comfy bed, letting her sister do all the work of packing her backpack.

She would've helped, but Emilia knew Lilac's controlling tendencies to do everything herself all too well, so she decided to just lie on her bed. A slump on her comforters, as she vaguely watched her sister excitedly jam random clothing items into her bag.

As Lilac began to chatter non stop, she grabbed a pillow, shoving it over her head to drown out her sister's high pitched squeals. She was already dreading the upcoming camping trip....
