TANGAN ANG KANYANG convertible duffle bag ay tinungo ni Sergius ang parking space ng Hydrus Haven.

Kumukulo ang dugo niya dahil halos dalawang oras lang naman siyang nakatayo sa harap ng villa ni Mihaela. Gusto yata nito na tubuan pa ng ekstrang ugat ang kanyang mga binti.

Babalik na sila sa El Sacramento sa hapong iyon ngunit nagmamatigas ang dalaga, ni hindi siya pinagbuksan ng pinto. Sa loob ng dalawang oras niyang pagkatok sa villa nito ay wala itong sinabi sa kanya, walang maktol, walang sumbat, walang mura. Ang pananahimik nito ang tila weapon nito upang siya ay itaboy. And man! It was the sharpest weapon to devastate his ego.

That was a bad sign. Never in his entire damn life that he tried to please a woman. It was the other way around all of the times. Never in his entire life that a woman made him feel... unwanted.

Nabalian ang kanyang ego sa ginagawa ni Mihaela na pang-iignora. Ngunit hindi niya ito masisisi.

Her begging and helpless eyes this morning were a torment. Siya na ang pinakadakilang gago dahil wala siyang aksiyon upang ipagtanggol ito kanina.

Everyone should step aside from his way. He was in a black mood and he hates it when he felt like a bear with a sore head. Kapag ganoon ay pirming hindi magagandang bagay ang naglalaro sa utak niya.

"I made you your favorite coffee, Serge. Kailangan mo 'to sa biyahe dahil wala kang tulog kagabi. You stayed up all night because I am with you, yeah?" Cloe flashed him her most flirtatious smile. Nakasandal ito sa kanyang segunda manong convertible Mercedes cabriolet na nabili niya sa kanyang car maniac na kaibigan at fratmate na si Yarrick.

Since he started to earn a vast profit from El Sacramento's joints, he never steal money from himself and bought whatever he does not need. His money looked better to be donated to those most less fortunate, to those children who's parents couldn't afford to send them in school, to those wounded armies who risked their lives to make the world a better place. Those were the sensible things  than wasting his money for luxurious or extravagant bullshits. Iyon ang natutunan ni Sergius sa mga kaibigan niya'ng Hombres.

Nasa second year college si Sergius noon nang i–recruit siya ni Ziggar na maging miyembro ng Delta Kappa Order fraternity— a prestigious Filipino blooded brotherhood in Stanford University kung saan siya pinag–aral ng ama ni Ziggar.

Their brotherhood had a fortunate reputation of providing deeply meaningful experience. Ang kapatiran nila ay naging tanyag hindi dahil sa mga boorish o sexist practices kundi dahil sa academic excellence ng mga miyembro nito sa unibersidad. Twenty six most sought after bachelors have been initiated at kahit wala man silang gaanong contribution sa community service ay hindi naman pumapalya ang donations nila sa mga charity organization around the world like UNICEF.

"I stayed up all night because my mind's in distress and you got nothing to do with it, Cloe." He said straightforwardly, hating preliminaries.

Cloe's nothing but a childhood friend. They never dated.

Ipinulupot ng babae ang braso sa leeg ni Sergius. He sighed audibly and unclasped Cloe's arms from him.

"We should better go, love. Can't wait to be in a most thrilling joyride with you." Umabante ito ulit at pilyang pinaghahaplos ang kanyang dibdib pababa sa kanyang pagkalalaki.

Numipis ang linya ng labi ni Sergius. He caught Cloe's hand and held it firmly. Hayagan itong nakangiwi.

"Look, Cloe. I'm already a heartbeat away from being a total asshole so if I were you, I'd run away now bago ko pa kalimutan na itinuturing pa kitang kaibigan." Galit na binalibag ni Sergius ang kanyang duffle bag sa backseat.
