Naina POV 

I just reached my office a half-hour late because Kristie got discharged and I went in to take her to my place until she does her therapy. 

There has been a lot of changes in the workplace too, Mr.Singhania is being less of an ass and more of an understanding boss nowadays which is a good change. He reduced his amount of snapping he does in a day as well as the tantrums he throws. He is ofcourse being cocky but I could take it because he is also giving me a lot of time off. He had even visited Kristie at my place and they both gang up to tease me.

I was taking a copy of the files I would need for the afternoon meeting when I heard a voice behind me it was Mr.Singhania's mom

Her: You still working here ? Knowing my son's antics, I thought he would have made you to quit by now

Me: Yes mam I am still working here, I survived . How are you doing ?

Her: Lady I have told you a number of times to call me by my name , I thought you were smart enough to follow that 

Me : Sorry Leena, its the habit which I have to still break

Her: Well break the habit faster so that we could gossip on how my son can be an ass to people , with you calling me mam you are limiting your amount of gossip 

Me: Well okay , as you say Leena 

Her : How tough is my son being on you on the scale of 10

Me:  Well its a 4 now

Her: 4 Seriously ? I never thought of him as a nice person

Me: Leena he is not a bad guy , he is a tough boss but he is being more nicer now 

Mr.Singhania: Mom, what are you doing here ? 

Her: If you would have quit being an ass and picked up my calls , you would have known. Naina its nice to see you dear I have to go inside and give my son a talk on how not to be an ass I will catch up with you later

They both walked away while I just stood there looking at them in awe. Leena happens to be a very cool mom but she has her own set of ways to set her son straight whenever he is an ass. He acts indifferent but I know he loves her too because he cares about her and listens to her.

After an hour or two she came out 

Her: Naina I heard about Kristie how is she?

Me: She is doing well now but we are watching closely 

Her: Let me know if you need anything and ring me if he is being an ass 

Me: Yes I will ... Thank you Leena

Her: Take care dear

She walked away,  I  went inside and saw Mr.Singhania sitting on the floor by the couch

Me: Mr.Singhania are you okay ? 

I did not hear any response from him I sat down on the floor by him and tried to call him by patting him on his shoulders.

Me: Mr.Singhania are you okay ? 

Him: Did you ever feel like you are drowning and no one is saving you ?

Me: I do, almost every other day 

Him : What do you do then?

Me: Seriously there is no one way of dealing with it , I just sleep on it, I wake up and I divert myself through work 

Him : So work is your escape ?

Me: Yeah it is 

Him : Okay 

Me: Are you okay ?

Him: I just feel like I am working so hard but everything is getting out of control. 

Me: You are doing well, why do you even doubt yourself? You are Mr.Singhania, 'The Singhania' to people, a successful businessman

Him: It always looks so good on the outside but inside there is ...

Me: Darkness 

Him: Darkness ... yes 

Me: Mr.Singhania I know it gets dark but then you gotta be persistent and do everything in your hand to get out of it

Him: Thank you ... we gotta get to that meeting 

Me: Yeah ...everything is ready 

Him: Okay I'll be there ...
