I was back in my flat freaking out about the latest developments and how my life changed in just a couple of seconds
1) One, I was all over on the news and according to the media and online platforms, I am the girl who is getting married to Agastya soon. Taking this news into consideration people started spreading rumors about how we are already in a live-in relationship. There were already a few speculations that I was pregnant which is the reason why we are getting married in a hurry
2) Reality sucks, here I'm fake engaged to a guy who wants to have me just because we have some spark between us. My fake fiancee (Agastya) had already blackmailed me that if I don't accept the proposal I would be jobless, in debt, and soon to be jailed for the money I owe him. He also threatened me that Kristie would know about this and she could be very heartbroken once she knows all this is because of her.
3) Just so that I do not face all the challenges which he blackmailed me with I have to get married to him which would give me my dream project, dream job, and dream home. If I was a selfish person and not looking for love I would have jumped at the chance to get married to him.
God, why did you make me a sentimental person who had dreamed about love and romance? Why dint you make me a self-centered person who would grab an opportunity for making my dreams come true. Damn mom and dada why did you make me believe in long-lasting love that I can't accept this deal.
I know I will be in a lot of trouble if I refuse his offer. I will hurt Kristie the only family I have but can I compromise on my self-respect and accept his blackmailing? Can I cave in and give him the satisfaction?
All these thoughts had made me go crazy I just need some sleep. I laid on my bed looking at my ceiling for a few minutes before finally falling asleep.
I opened my door after a constant doorbell ringing. First I thought whoever is ringing the bell would disappear but then I saw that they were not leaving until I opened the door.
I opened the door with a grumpy face and I was shocked to see Leena (Agastya's Mom) here and then beside her stood Kristie with a big smile on their faces looking at me
Oh shit even they think its all true
Even they think we are in love or along those lines
Even though looking at their grinning faces I know why they are here I still asked my questions
Me: Leena, Kristie what are you two doing here?
Leena: Don't act coy Naina even if you didn't tell anything to anyone not even to Kristie news has reached us about the relationship between both of you. Though I was pissed off that you or my son didn't say anything to anyone I got over it because you both make an extraordinary pair and by the looks of it I can tell that Agastya has never looked this happy after his wife's death. He looks so much at peace, he has a full smile on his face ... I am so happy for you
Me: Leena but ...
Kristie: You know we always knew there was something going on between both of you, your funny banter, your arguments, your hidden concern for each other is so endearing. I always called shots on your relationship and when I finally saw the news I got really happy. I always had the fear that you would be left lonely without happiness and warmth now I know you would not be left out of it. I am so happy to see you happy, you got me worried sick with your wall around you but now I am glad you broke that down.
Me: How did you both meet each other?
Leena: I stopped by Agastya's place and I wanted to meet you. Before meeting you he wanted me to meet your family which is Kristie because you both are important to each other. I went ahead and I met Kristie she is an amazing woman and pretty cool. She also told me about how Agastya already stopped by and asked her permission to get married to you.
Me: What? Kristie, did Agastya take your permission? When?
Kristie: I will tell you everything but not right now we have so many preparations to do ... in the event of your relationship we have decided to send you on a planned date with Agastya we made all the arrangements and you have to show up all dolled up.
Me: Guys that is what I want to talk about
Leena: Honey I know you don't like extravagant surprises believe me Agastya already warned us but we were so happy that we spent the whole day planning and executing the date. Oh, we also bought a dress for this date you would look so beautiful and eternal in this.
She took out the dress and looking at the dress my jaw dropped

Me: Leena, Kristie I cannot take this, it looks really costly on top of it nor I have the looks or neither I have the confidence to hold myself in this dress
Kristie: Don't worry about the cost dear your to be hubby bought it and about holding it up we will work on you so that you are confident enough to hold it
Oh so it was all planned by Agastya I am seriously going to teach a lesson or two to him. How dare that he thought that he will get away with blackmailing and forcing me into this situation. How can he give Leena and Kristie these false hopes?
