The little moments which we face in life changes our whole perspective. That is the case with me too because from the cocky casonova I am seeing Mr. Singhania as a caring individual who is sweet and is doing everything to make me feel better.
Few days back when we were waiting for Kristie to wake up from the surgery ........
I was walking to and fro waiting for Kristie to wake up but she has been asleep for a few hours now. I get tired and sit down on the couch next to Mr. Singhania. Mr. Singhania is looking at me with amusement written all over his face.
Me: Why are you looking at me with that stupid smirk on your face
Mr.Singhania: I never knew ...
Me: What ?
Mr.Singhania: That your walking to and fro will wake up Kristie. If people knew they would have tried out what you are doing and people must have woken up immediatly.
Me: Mr. Singhania are you seriously taunting me right now when im nervous ? Why isnt Kristie waking up ?
Mr.Singhania: Look , Kristie is not going to wake up just by your walking to and fro. You would tire yourself by doing that but the truth is you have to give her time to heal.
Me: Mr. Singhania your such a .........
Kristie : Girl you better watch out what your going to speak out because I am still here and Ill still ground you if you swear
Me : Kristie , you dont know about him ...Wait Kristie you are awake
I walked up to her sat by her bed , took her hand in me and kissed her hand
Me : Kristie you scared me so much
Kristie : I always tell you im as strong as a horse this is nothing, you see by tommorow I will be on my feet
Me : No ! No! No! you will be resting that is what doctor has instructed. You say your very strong but that is not what your medical records say which I got from your home
Kristie : Oh dear !! Oh wait are you ever going to introduce me to that handsome man over there
Me : This is my boss...
Mr.Singhania : Oh please I dont want to be introduced in such a dull way... Kristie .. Naina here calls me Mr. Singhania like all boring people do but you could call me Aghastya
Kristie: Aghastya ... what a beautiful name ... It would be my pleasure to call you that and this lady here calls me Kristie , but you could call me Kris like all the handsome men do
Mr.Singhania : Well Kris , thank you for your compliment I am very flattered. You are a very sweet and beautiful lady too
Kristie : Well thank you Mr. Handsome
Me: Kristie Ill go call the doctor that you have woken up ...
Mr.Singhania : Kris , Naina says you have taken care of her for a long time correct ?
Kristie: Oh yes, young man
Mr.Singhania : Then why hasnt your charm and energy rubbed off her? Whenever I see her she has this frown on her face ... never seen her smile
Me: Mr.Singhania .. you
His phone rang cutting me off, he excused himself and left the room
Kristie : Girl !! Look at you right now , your all irritated, fumes are coming out from your ears
Me: Kristie you dont know him , he just riles me all up, annoys me to the core .... forget about that how are you feeling Kristie
Kristie : Girl ! I feel like having a chocolate cupcake any chance you can sneak in some ??
Me : Kristie you wouldnt be allowed any sugar stuff for a while forget cupcakes
Kristie : How long were you crying for ?
Me : I dint cry !!
Kristie : Lady stop lying
Me : I was worried
Kristie : Look here , you gotta stay strong , you cannot scumb to sadness by just a scare
Me : I thought I would loose you ...
Kristie : Sweetie , I am not going anywhere atleast not until I see you find a nice man for yourself and get married
Me : Kristie , not again
Kristie : What you will make a stunning bride
Me : I dont see that happening not until forever
Kristie : Never say never dear , that boss of your's is very handsome I can see that he likes you
Me: He likes me fine because I am an efficient assistant , thats it
Kristie : Remember how he teased you a while back that you never smile
Me : Yes !! That was just a dig dont look so much into it
The door opened and the doctor who operated on Kristie & Mr.Singhania walks in
I move away and sat on the couch. Mr. Singhania sat beside me
Mr.Singhania : So how is she doing
Me: She is hiding the pain she is in, she did not answer any of my questions directly.. that means she is hiding something
Mr.Singhania: How are you holding up ?
Me: I am okay, I was very worried
Mr.Singhania: I know , but from what I observed she doesnt want you to be worried , if you still worry I feel like she would be sad about it
Me: I cant help it , I almost lost her
Mr.Singhania : I know , but you would have to act like everything is well around her , keep her stress free, when you are sad she worries
Me: Okay
Mr.Singhania: Okay ?
Me: Okay I wont be sad , atleast not in front of her
Mr. Singhania : How about you stay happy always ?
Me : That is a far fetched thing ... I dont think it would happen
Mr.Singhania : Never say Never Ms. Mathur
