Naina POV

Agastya came and handed me our baby. I held him close to my chest but I also saw some tears in the eyes of my baby looking at Agastya. Agastya had some tears pooled in his eyes too. 

Looking at both of them I started crying too at this bitter turn of events in our life. My baby just met his father only to lose him. I can clearly see Aryaan sad, may be he could predict that he wont see his dad again. Isnt it weird that he just saw his dad today and he recognized him almost in a second?

Agastya kissed my baby on the cheeks while I was holding my baby, then he looked deep into my eyes and gave me sad smile, he kissed me on the forehead and I dunno why I could not push him away. He gave me a one sided hug and moved back.

Agastya: Take care of you both, you are very strong Naina and I can see you are a wonderful and responsible mother to our baby. He is lucky to have you as a mom, hope one day you find it in your heart to forgive me. I am proud of what you did for yourself and Aryaan here. Bye Naina, Bye Aryaan.

He kissed Aryaan one last time and was pulling away when Aryaan held his shirt in his tiny fist and blabbered gibberish but we both know Aryaan did not want to let go of his dad. Agastya tenderly let himself free by holding Aryaan's tiny fist and kissing them before stepping away. He was about to walk out of the door ...

Me: Wait !!

Agastya turned back to me with hope in his eyes 

Me: I am willing to give you a chance 

As soon as I said that I could see Agastya break out into a heart melting smile, he walked back to us in long strides and hugged us. It looked like a group hug and my family felt complete. 

He looked at me with tears in his eyes, like he was amazed with my decision

He hugged me now without a warning and took me by surprise he was careful though to not squish the baby between us. He showered kisses on my face and turned to my baby and kissed him happily.

Agastya: I am staying Aryaan, your dada is staying

Aryaan looked happy too, infact he was giggling at the kisses his dad was showering him. Oh god, now I have to break some news in front of him.

Me: Agastya we have to talk

Agastya: What is it ?

I made Aryaan sleep in his cradle and came out to have a serious conversation with Agastya

Me: I am willing to give a chance, it is a chance to be a dad to Aryaan. It is not a chance for you to reconcile with me because I am still not over it. I dunno if I can ever give you a second chance. I ll give you a chance to be a dad to Aryaan, he deserves all the love he can get. He needs a dad and I am not going to stop you both. You can stay with us for a week and prove it to me that you will be a responsible dad.

 Being a dad is not only about showering kisses and hugs, you gotta be responsible, you have to sacrifice your sleep, you have to cut down on working hours and there is never a holiday from being a parent. So, stay here with us, spend time and we will see where that goes. If you cannot do the responsibility stuff like changing diapers or sacrificing your sleep etc then you could always go back to your old life. If you manage to do things right then we can work on visiting schedule and sharing custody.
