Naina POV

LA has been wonderful so far, I love how Emilia trains her employees she is so focussed, determined as well as sweet towards her employees. My training gets done in two days.

I finished with my training for day and walked into the guest house. Emilia insisted that I stay at her guesthouse than the motel I booked. She insisted that I stay with her family but I thought staying at the motel would be better, so when I was not taking her offer to stay at her place she cancelled the motel and took me to the guest house which was walking distance from her home but still on the same property. I showered and walked to her home for dinner. This is my ritual, I go to training, come back and have a shower, then have dinner with her family after which I would hang out with twins and head to guest house for the night.

I miss Agastya a lot 

I miss his smirk

I miss his sarcasm

I miss his hugs

I miss his kisses

I have only spoken to him through text messages which is both of us checking on each other. I was tempted to call him on the silent nights but I refrain from doing that. I have to think and come to a conclusion.

The training would soon be done after some Q&A session for the day then I would be hanging out with Emilia and her family for the whole evening, they would show me around and then I and Emilia would hang out at night. So for today, I would be crashing at Emilia's place as I have my flight early in the morning tomorrow to Chicago. As it was all work conversations between me and Emilia she wanted to catch up. She said there is something she wanted to talk to me about. After the training session, Emilia and I freshened up. Then we started for my LA tour while her husband took care of the kids. We went to this park and sat down with our Chinese food take out boxes. This is the place where they screen old classic movies like Singing in the Rain or Streetcar named desire etc.

I was silently enjoying the peace this park offered with Chinese food, I looked around and saw many couples hanging out. I smiled at Emilia who was watching me closely

Emilia: What's wrong with you Naina? From the time you are here, you are very serious, determined, and professional which is good for the work but I didn't see that smile or happiness I saw when we met back in Chicago. I thought it could be you being away from Agastya but at that point in time too you guys were away from each other. You in Chicago and him in India. So what is it that you are bothered about?

Her concern for me really touched me to depth

I told her everything about us, starting from his proposal to our phone conversation. I told her how sad I feel that even after having everything between us the thought of not having love is killing me. She soothingly touched her hand to my cheek, wiping the little tears that got away

Emilia: Naina, let me tell you a story, I was visiting my grandparents during one summer and I fell in love with this guy as soon as I met him. He was a rancher working part-time for my grandparents while studying full time. After a beautiful relationship, we had to separate. For him, that town was everything, for me, I craved big successes and dreams. I decided to give up my dreams and get married to him at 17, but my parents took me away. I was a minor so they had every right to do so, they blackmailed him and offered him money, enough to finish his agriculture degree and buy a piece of land after he got his degree which I never knew about until later. They convinced me by saying that if we had that true love between us my parents would get us married after I chased my dreams and got successful. At that time I had no other go then agree to with them, I thought they were helping me but I was naive to not understand their real intentions.
