A/n – So I wrote a courtroom hearing scene. My knowledge is limited when it comes to law. I just used what I have read in books and seen in movies. Bear with me, my friends who are in the line of law and correct me if I've written wrong.

Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes.

Enjoy!

The courtroom is packed with people

The courtroom is packed with people. Kimmon stared at the boring beige walls, wooden furniture, and the earth-colored carpet. It was a busy day and the fat judge with fudgy jowls looked jaded.

On the surface, Kimmon looked fully composed. For one, he doesn't want to upset Copter and Tae. Also, he's not worried because he's innocent. He may have threatened Godt but he could never hurt someone that way. He made a mistake. He was too rash and look where it got him. He's deeply regretting his decision yet he doesn't want Tae, Bas, and Copter to suffer because of him.

So he held himself stoic not giving away anything.

"Next is our case,"

The lawyer they hired murmured, tilting his head towards Kimmon.

"Be ready,"

He felt Copter and Tae stir behind him. They won't be approaching the judge. It would be just Kimmon and the lawyer.

"Next hearing. Trial no. 2980."

"Come on," The lawyer got to his feet. Kimmon followed.

Counselor, proceed." The judge grunted, waving his hand.

The lawyer approached the stand and handed a paper to the judge.

"We would like to appeal for bail, your honor. All the evidence against my client is circumstantial."

The judge ran his eyes up and down the paper and looked at Kimmon, over his spectacles.

"The defendant has prior criminal records. And he lives next door to the injured party. Considering the condition the victim is in right now, it could be dangerous to allow the defendant bail." The public prosecutor handed in his own paper.

The judge took it and surveyed for a while.

"Considering the defendant's prior record and the condition of the injured party...." The judged croaked in a monotonous tone. ".....the defendant Mr. Kimmon will remain in police custody until his trial on the 28th of September, two weeks from today." He placed the paper down and hit the gavel. "Bail denied, next case."

The courtroom hummed.

Kimmon's heart sank. As the next hearing began taking place, he was being escorted out by a police officer.

"That's not fair," He heard Copter's desperate voice once they are outside the courtroom.

"Officer," He murmured at the policemen. "Could you please give me a minute to speak with my boyfriend?"
