"Spill." I say once Hayley meets me in front of her silver SUV, her eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
"What do you mean?" I roll my eyes as we both get into her car and she starts it.
"You know exactly what I mean missy. What's going on between you and that Henry dude? Do you have a little crush on one of the hottest guys in school?" I waggle my eyebrows as I lean forward, cupping my chin with my hand as I grinned at her.
"Maybe just a little crush-who am I kidding? I've had the biggest crush on him since kindergarten!" Hayley exclaims as she slumps back in her seat and sighs dramatically.
"Ask him out." I shrug as she sits up abruptly, giving me whiplash.
"Are you crazy? Ask one of the hottest guys in school out? Just like that? Like bam!?" Hayley looks at me like she might explode as I roll my eyes and giggle.
"Yes! It's the twenty first century you dummy! Ask him out! Go for for it sweetheart!" I throw my hands up in the air as I huff at her, making her roll her eyes.
"No way! He'd reject me!" I looked at her like she was insanely stupid.
"So what?! Life's too short for being scared of rejection! Now let's go to my house before these people think we're crazy." I say as Hayley smiles at me.
"Is there something goin in between you and Brayden?" Hayley quirked an eyebrow as I scoffed.
"Yeah okay! Sure! No of course not, are you crazy?! I just got here today! What makes you think there's something goin in between me and the Brayden dude?" I say exasperated as she grins.
"Because it looks like he's got a thing for you, look over there." Hayley nods her head towards my right as I turn around to see Brayden watching us, a smirk spreading across his beautiful face before he waved with a smug look on his face making me roll my eyes.
"Yeah, he may have a thing for me but it's definitely not the other way around. I just got here, Hayley. It's my first day. I'm not looking for a relationship right now, or for a while. Now drive." I say as Hayley rolls her eyes before pulling out of the parking lot and driving to where I told her to.
"I think Brayden has a thing for you, like a big thing for you. He's never looked at any girl like the way he looked at you and that's saying something because he can get any girl he wants." Hayley shakes her head as I roll my eyes.
"Challenge accepted." I say with a smirk as Hayley looks at me like I had three heads.
"What?" Hayley pulls into my driveway before parking and stopping the car.
"You said he could get any girl he wants, right?" I raise my eyebrows as Hayley nods slowly.
"Yeah, why?" I smile as I unbuckle and open the car door.
"I'm going to be the first girl that he can't get." I shrug as I get out, slinging my backpack over my shoulders and waited for Hayley to get out.
"What makes you think no one's ever done that?" Hayley asks defensively.
"I'm guessing you tried it too?" I quirk an eyebrow as her face turned deep red.
"Actually yes." Hayley said matter of fairly as I raised my eyebrows.
"Did you succeed?" I press my lips together as Hayley's eyes fall to the ground in shame.
"Nope. He only ever does like one night stands." Hayley played with her hands.
"Why am I not surprised?" I ask myself as I walk up to my porch, Hayley following close by.
"Because he's the biggest player in our school and doesn't care what anyone thinks. He flirts a girl up and gets her in bed and then bam! It's over. He gets into fights and doesn't care about being expelled or suspended or getting detention. I don't think he's going to change either." I nod as we walk inside.
