I flutter my eyes open and look out my window before sighing as I shook my head and running my hand through my messed up hair. I shake my head before throwing my covers off of me and made my bed before slipping into a hoodie and some leggings as I walked out of my room to see streamers strung everywhere and colorful balloons hanging around the house. I smile as I look in the kitchen to see a cute cake in a cake covered dish and several cupcakes and cookies.
I see the kitchen table with several gifts on it, neatly wrapped with bows on them. I smile as I see dad with an apron toes around his neck and waist as he makes chocolate chip pancakes and sausage.
"Dad?" I ask as I walk into the kitchen.
"Happy birthday sweetie." Dad smiles at me before giving me tight hug.
"Thanks dad. You didn't have to do all of this." I look around as dad shakes his head.
"Of course I did. It's your sixteenth birthday." I smile as I sit down at the table and shake my head.
"I really wish you hadn't done this." I say as I hear the doorbell ring, "dad who's that?" I ask as I get up and open the door to see Hayley, Yogi, and Henry standing outside the door with surprised looks.
"We were expecting your dad to answer, we were going to surprise you when you woke up." Hayley says as I nod and step aside to let them in.
"What are y'all doing here?" I send dad a glare before he rolls his eyes.
"Nice to see you too pumpkin." Yogi says, sarcasm dripping off of every word.
"Your dad wanted to surprise you for your birthday. Is that a crime?" Henry says as he plops on the couch.
"No but I told y'all I don't do birthdays, but since y'all are here I guess we can have one." I shrug as Hayley grabs my shoulders and looks at me with concern.
"Are you okay? You know you can talk to me right?" Concern floods her eyes as I soften in her grip and nod.
"Yeah of course. And I'm fine, I just don't usually do this." I say as I give her a closed lipped smile.
"Okay, let's have some fun okay?" Hayley smiles as she rubs my arms.
"Okay." I smile before turning around to face my dad.
"Okay breakfast is ready, we'll have cake later and whatnot." Dad says as he takes his apron off.
"Thanks dad." I smile as I give him a kiss on the cheek before running into my room and grabbing a hair tie and throwing my hair into a messy bun.

Nugget isn't acting right, she's usually happy and bubbly but she's not today. I wonder if she's on her period? No even then she'd be happy and bubbly, maybe a little annoyed and won't put up with anyone's crap. I wonder what's wrong, it's confusing the heck out of me. I watch her as she rubs her face and smile at her dad, but it doesn't reach her eyes like usual before Hayley and Henry place their gifts on the table as I do the same. Nugget smiles at her dad as he gives her a plate of food, this time her smile reaching her eyes as she looks at us and wave us over to get food. I smile before walking up behind Henry and Hayley as they slowly get their food.
Soon we all finish our food and decide to sit on the couch and chat a little before her dad walks over with her presents and a camera, one of those professional cameras though. I see a slight blush on nugget's cheek as she shakes her head and covers her face.
"Dad, why the camera?" She whines as her dad chuckles and sets the presents down in front of her.
"Because I can print them off and hang them up on the wall with other pictures. Have a picture wall in my room and yours sweetie. Come on Pay pay, smile." Nugget smiles as she looks at me before the flash goes off, "beautiful."
