MEREDITH'S POV

"So, you and Niall, eh?" I smiled at my best friend as she sat at the table across from me. The boys had just left about an hour ago and Amelia had gone to take a shower. She looked absolutely knackered, and I was so happy that she was finally settling down and becoming more secure about herself. But, no matter what, I always had that horrible reminder in the back of my head. I just wished it weren't true. Still, I put on a brave face and acted like I didn't have a care in the world.

"We totally called it!" Ariel called from the kitchen as she ate her way through whatever leftovers we had.

Amelia blushed and rolled her eyes before turning back to me, smirking wickedly. "So, you and Louis, eh?"

I leaned back, smiling at the thought of him. "A lady never kisses and tells."

"Yeah, that's true, but I don't see any ladies around, so tell us!" Mattie strolled in from her bedroom and I gasped jokingly at her comment.

"What ever do you mean?" I raised a hand to my chest in mock shock and Mattie smiled, sitting next to Amelia.

"Just spill the beans already!" Ariel yelled, sounding like her mouth was filled with food.

"Come on, you are among friends!" Janessa laughed from where she sat on the couch, watching the tellie.

I resisted the urge to snort at the irony, completely forgetting about all my troubles for one second as I joked around with my best friends. "Like you can talk, little misses kiss-and-flirt-with-Harry-Styles-all-night-long! We all saw!"

Janessa turned a brilliant shade of pink and we all cracked up, though Amelia was hiding it better than others.

"Don't change the subject, Meredith." Amelia laughed at me. "Or any of you, for that matter! I saw that you all got a little taste of One Direction last night."

I couldn't contain it- I let out a loud howl of laughter, clapping at what Amelia just said. "Don't ever say that again!" I managed to say between fits of laughter. "That was SO wrong!"

"Bad, Amelia, just bad!" Mattie chuckled, pocking Amelia's side.

"Ah, ignore what I just said! But it's true! I saw you all with a certain boy doing certain things!" Amelia smirked at us all, her arms crossed. We all looked at one another, not really sure what to say.

"Uh, no comment." I picked up the glass of diet coke in front of me and took a sip. I really didn't want to talk about relationships at the moment- especially because of what I know. It affected all of us.

"Alright, well what can we talk about?" Amelia asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Let's talk about the fact that you're going to marry Niall and have twenty four Irish babies!?" Ariel cheered as she walked over to the table carrying a bag of crisps.

I shuddered internally at another mention of relationships; why couldn't we talk about something else?

"I want to go watch Angels Take Manhattan again- anyone care to join?" I stood up from the table, heading for the tellie. Janessa moaned as she switched off her program and made her way to the recorded shows menu.

"Meredith, do whatever you want, but you do know that you're going to end up in tears in the end, right?" Mattie advised me, watching me with a very judgmental stare as I sat down next to Janessa.

"Yeah, I know." I shrugged and turned to the tellie.

"Are you alright?" Amelia asked, throwing herself down next to me. "You seem really... sad."
