"Come on, Trev. How will I stay away from the guy if you can't tell me the reason why?"

Kanina ko pa pinipilit si Trev na magsalita patungkol kay Vlix Marania. While having our lunch, I didn't stop asking about that matter. Kahit puro iling at irap lang ang sagot niya sa akin ay 'di ko pa rin siya tinitigilan.

We're sitting on the sofa again after the meal and now he's using his phone, completely ignoring me.

"Trevor!" I keep on shaking his shoulder.

He gave me an annoyed look bago bumalik ang tingin sa cellphone niya. Nawala na ang kaninang masigla at mabirong side niya bago namin mapag-usapan ang patungkol dito.

I kept on bothering Trevor. Kahit hanggang sa nagpaalam na uuwi na siya sa kanila.

"Give me a break, Moonlight." Iritadong komento nito nang bigla akong sumakay sa passenger seat.

"I will stop if you just tell me about him and my brother." I said, determined.

Napailing siya at bumuntong hininga, as if he already gave up and started talking. "Look, Moon, that matter is not my story to tell. I was just a witness and I don't know much. Basta, I don't trust that guy. If you want to know more, then ask Midnight. Ang sasabihin ko lang ay stay away from Vlix no matter what."

"Pero ayaw sabihin sa akin ni Mid—"

"That's why you should drop your curiosity with the guy's business. You getting involve is not worth it."

Umiling ako. "It's my business, Trev. My twin is involve kaya involve na talaga ako from the start. Midnight's anger towards Vlix is just... it's just way too intense, ramdam ko. And I really need to do something about it. Kaya kailangan kong malaman kung bakit kailangan kong lumayo kapag nakita ko ang lalaking iyon."

Tinitigan ako ni Trev na para bang tinatantya. He raised a brow and said, "You want to know the guy."

Natigilan ako. "W-what are you talking about?"

"I know you want to protect Midnight, specially na may threat na rin sila tita na sa ibang bansa siya mag-sta-stay if he did something stupid. And I know you well, Moon, involving Vlix way too much is really off if you're only concern with your brother. You're curious about who Vlix Marania really is."

I immediately shook my head. "Ano ba ang pinagsasabi mo? You're concluding things."

"Kilala kita, Moon. And you didn't even deny what I just said. Madali kang basahin."

Umiwas ako ng tingin. Narinig ko ang muli niyang pagbuntong hininga. "Just ask your brother, okay? Nang masagot ang mga tanong mo."

I sighed and nodded, naintindihan ng sinabi nito. Kaya naman nag-sorry ako kay Trev dahil sa pamimilit. He said that he really can't say anything because he really didn't know the whole story. Mukhang si Midnight lang talaga ang may alam ng sagot.

I suddenly felt awful. I stand for not meddling on other people's business pero ito ako paulit-ulit na nagtatanong at namimilit pa.

I'm so selfish to let my curiosity get ahaead of me.

Bumaba na ako ng sasakyan ni Trev. Isasara ko na sana ang pinto nang magsalita ito.

"By the way, I heard from some high school friends that Vlix is back in Manila. Mas malaki ang chance na makasalubong mo siya sa daan. That's why... be careful."

Saglit akong natigilan bago tumango.

"Thanks for the book, Moon. I'll return it to you once I'm done." Dagdag nito. Sinagot ko siya ng isang ngiti. Pagkasara ko ng pintuan ay agad namang pinaandar ni Trev ang kotse nito.
