I didn't even have time to call Josh before we boarded the plane, this was going to be the longest 25 hours of my life.
When we were finally in the sky I connected to the flights free wifi and checked my Facebook messages hoping to see his name, but the only message I had was from my Aunty, telling me to have a safe flight. I went straight onto his profile and messaged him;
I'm so sorry Josh. My mum decided that we didn't have enough time to stop by. I hope you can forgive me.
Please message me as soon as you get this. I love you.I watched a movie while waiting for him to reply, but he didn't. So I went to sleep, or at least I tried to, sleeping isn't so easy when there's a crying baby, people talking and music playing.
I woke up 5 hours later, it was midnight, and i was wide awake. I checked my phone immediately, hoping for a reply, and finally there was one;
Katie! I've been so worried about you. I thought something had happened. Sorry that I took a while to reply, I was visiting my father. Of course I forgive you, it's not your fault. I'm upset though, I miss you so much. Have a safe flight baby, I'll talk to you when you land. I love you.
For a second, I was happy. But then it hit me, I'm probably never going to see him again. I put my headphones in and stared out the window for the rest of the trip, I felt so empty, I couldn't even cry.
We finally landed, we got off the plane and it was pouring with rain. This was going to take some getting used to.
We collected our bags and got in the taxi that was taking us to our new house. I pretended to be excited, for mum and dad, but I'd never been more unhappy.
