Chapter 6 - Josh's Mistake

It had been days since I'd heard from Josh, I figured he just didn't want me anymore, it was hard, but I had Danny and he made it better.
I'm glad I moved here just as school holidays were starting, I can get to know the area before I worry about getting to know people at school.

Since I'd only been going to school for a week, I hoped that people would forget about me, and after the holidays, I could have another new start.

Me and Danny were in my room, we really liked each other. Each day with Danny, made each day without Josh easier. There was a knock at the door, my parents weren't meant to be home for hours, Danny and I opened the door, I couldn't believe who was standing there.

My heart beat fast, "Danny... This is Josh..." I said nervously.

"What are you doing here?!" Josh snapped at Danny, before Danny could say anything I interrupted "I could ask you the same thing!"

"I came for you!" Josh replied
"That's why you haven't replied to my messages" I asked, he nodded.

That's the last thing I remember before everything went black and I collapsed to the floor

I woke up with both Danny and Josh looking over me, my head was killing me, "what happened" I asked
"You fainted" they said at the same time.
"Go up to my room, I'll see you in a bit" I whispered to Danny, he kissed me on the cheek and made his way upstairs.

I sat down with Josh, he leant in to kiss me but I pulled away "why did you come here?" I asked
"I had money saved, it was meant to be for a car, but I missed you too much, and I was scared of this Danny guy stealing you from me"
I looked to the floor, I felt guilty, I felt horrible. I looked back at him, "Josh, I'm sorry, a part of me will always love you, but this isn't going to work. We're 15 thousand kilometres apart, and Danny just lives down the street."

Josh looked so upset, he looked at me, "I understand" he said sadly, he kissed me one last time and left. That was the hardest goodbye of my life.
