When Josh left I decided to write a pro and con list, because I honestly couldn't think of any other ways that I could possibly make up my mind, but that didn't work.
I only had one option left. Waiting for mum to get home from work and asking her.I heard another knock at the door, I went down stairs and opened the door, "Josh, I told you I need... Oh. Danny, hi. Come in" I said as I answered the door.
"Expecting Josh?" Danny asked.
"No" I said, as Danny came inside."I just want to say something okay? I'll leave straight after" he told me, I nodded, "I know you've been with Josh for years and you love him and you love Australia, it's hard to compete with that, but if you stay here, with me, I promise to keep you safe, care for you, look after you and most importantly love you. Because I do love you, and I know we haven't known each other long, but sometimes you just know. I need you, Katie." He pleaded, then turned away and headed for the door, he was crying.
"Wait!" I said, raising my voice. He turned around, I grabbed his shaking hand and we went to my room, "let's just hang out for a bit, okay?" I told him.
A couple of hours later Danny and I were still together, we seemed like the perfect match. This was a hard time for the 3 of us, but Danny was making me laugh, when all I wanted to do was cry.
We played silly games together all afternoon, charades, twister, murder in the dark, all kinds of fun things! I've never been able to be silly with a boy before, I've always cared far too much about what they thought of me. Did this mean that I was meant to be with Danny, or that I wasn't meant to be with Danny?
Danny and I just seemed so perfect for each other, but then again, Josh and I seem perfect too. I stopped, halfway through playing charades, my facial expression became emotionless and I dropped to the floor, Danny rushed over, scooping me into his arms, "I don't know what to do, Danny" I said, my voice breaking.Danny reached in to my bedside table, to grab me a tissue, but he quickly pulled his hand out, it was bleeding. I quickly jumped up and peered into my side table. A blade I'd stored in there was pointing up, before I could stop him, Danny looked as well, when he saw the blade he looked at me, lifting my jacket sleeves then slowly backing away. He didn't say anything, just left.
Now what was I supposed to do now?! Did Danny even want to be with me now?
