it’s been three months since houston and calum lost their communication with one another. well, not completely lost. it’s like they just barely talked. it’s probably because both of them were busy for college and they barely even had the time to mind their phones or talk on social media. they were both graduating students and the pressure was on for them. distance and school both didn’t cooperate with their so-called ‘relationship’ and yes, communication was starting to fade. they individually worried about it though and for at least, even just a simple text like ‘hi’ and ‘hey’ was still inserted through their own businesses. but was it going to be like that for long? or will communication truly fade as the time goes on?
“houston.” blue intervened houston who was busy editing the photos for their closing ceremony class presentation.
“oh hey, blue.” houston replied but her eyes were still on the desktop screen.
“can i interrupt you for a moment, please?” blue told houston, almost squealing.
“uh, yeah?” houston said, almost a question, still focused on the photo editing.
blue pouted. “are you sure? hous, you’re not even paying attention to me.” she whined.
houston paused for a while and glanced at her best friend. “sorry. what was it?” she chuckled.
blue’s pout turned back into a smile. “look what i’ve got.” she said in a sing-song voice, waving some papers in front of houston’s face.
“what are those papers?” houston asked, chortling.
“these are application forms, silly!” blue pointed out.
“for?” houston trailed. “i’m sorry. kindly explain what are those.”
blue sighed as she twitched her lips. “okay fine. these are job application forms. i got it from one of dad’s friends who’s got a local magazine publishing company. and he offered me two slots for photography section and i decided to give the other one to you.” she happily explained.
houston let out an ‘aw’ as she pulled blue into a hug. “thank you so much, blue. you are one best and special nugget.” she thanked her lovely best friend.
“anytime for you, babe.” blue replied. “so how are you and this calum guy? still communicating?” she was quick enough to shift to another topic.
houston only gave blue a blank face and a shrug. “we’re still communicating but we’re both too busy, so how are we? i really don’t know.”
“oh no. is the love fading?” blue gasped dramatically, her face in sympathy.
“of course, not.” houston said in a defensive tone though that’s what she somehow felt. it’s not that she felt like her love for calum was fading but it’s like the other way around. she felt like calum didn’t love her anymore. she tend to be a pessimistic type of person.
“we still talk but not that much though, which is not good.” houston sadly told blue.
“aw. it’s okay, hous. there are still so many other guys who are better than calum.” blue tried her best to comfort houston but her advice was undeniably horrible and wasn’t helping at all.
houston only furrowed her eye brows and shook her head. “no. i don’t care about other guys. i only love calum and that’s enough and safe to say.”
“you sure?” blue assured. “that milbert guy with you on the pic in facebook was cute. i think you look cute together.” she teased.
houston gave blue a completely disgusted face. “are you serious? i mean, yeah he is cute but, are you seriously shipping me with my gay friend?” she mocked.
“wait. he’s gay?” blue asked in shock.
“affirmative.” houston simply answered with a wink.
“oh.” blue uttered then pouted.
houston heard blue mumbled something. “pardon me? what was that?”
“i’m going to make him straight.” blue repeated what she mumbled with full confidence on her face.
houston let out a laugh. “oh god! how?” she asked, eavesdropped.
“you’ll see.” blue winked.

“ashton, i think houston doesn’t love me anymore.” calum sighed frustratedly as he sat in front of his laptop.
“come on. don’t say that. she still loves you. believe me.” ashton tried his best to keep calum’s spirits up.
“but who’s this guy named ‘milbert’ with her on facebook? they looked pretty close. did she finally find someone better than me?” calum was being negative.
“could be a friend or school mate. don’t worry about it. i’ve been there many times in my 2-year relationship with jordy, and i’ve learned, we’ve both learned, that trusting one another is important. calum, don’t jump into conclusions. confirm everything before making a move.” ashton, so far, was the best person when it came to advice. never wonder why if he and jordy would last forever.
calum nodded in agreement. “you’re right. thanks a lot, ash. you’re always the best.” he thanked one of his best friends.
“no problem, bro.” ashton replied with a smile.
somehow ashton’s advice lighten him up and his worries were lost again.
“besides, houston is also graduating and so are you. only two months left, cal. you can see her anytime you want.” ashton pointed out.
and then it hit calum.
