Jaime threw his arms up in a mixture of surrendering and trying to make me calm. "Chill out Syl. It was for your safety." said Jaime. I very vividly scoffed at this remark. "You think I can't protect myself! Who do you think I am? Some weak hipster living in that same alley where you or dad knocked me out!" I exclaimed, louder than I wanted to. "I did not knock you out! Jaime what is Syl talking about?" dad asked. "You told me to send him to the alley at the back of Hell's Kitchen, didn't you?" Jaime said questioningly. Dad was shocked at hearing this statement. "Syl, what did you see there? Tell me everything!" dad exclaimed, somewhat hyper.
After explaining everything that happened in full detail, and another ten minutes of dad examining the topaz hanging around my neck, dad came to a conclusion. "Orvax. What does he want with you Syl? Did you meet him, per se?" asked dad. I just moved my head from right to left. Then suddenly a question popped into my head. "Orvax is like a sorcerer. He has great power, and thus, even greater responsibilities." said both dad and Jaime in unison. " But it is unlike him to leave his post, even for a few minutes needed to plant a necklace on a human mortal, you." said dad.
"Wait what! How did you even know what I was going to ask. And who are you calling mortal. Even Jaime is mortal, and I don't hear you calling him that!" I just cried out, slightly hushed so as not to alarm mom. " Again Syl, chill. Look, that necklace connects our minds, so when you have something to tell us, you can just think it out. We will hear you, not literally though." said Jaime. He continued," and what dad so cautiously means by mortal, is that you still are human, and no only the necklace connect us, but it also grants you powers. Until we find out what powers it has granted you, you are still considered human, or in us already master of our powers terms, mortal."
I could not honestly comprehend the situation that was currently unfolding. All I could manage to say was, " W-W-What!What are you'll both even talking about!" Then something clicked in my mind. " You know what, this is a good prank Jaime. Kudos bro." I continued. The other two just proceeded to look at each other and then literally fall on the floor laughing. Except dad. His misty form didn't allow him to fall on the floor physically. But he sure was floating quiet close to the floor. "You really think this is a prank Syl?" was what I heard quite mystically in my head in both dad's and Jaime's voice. Then, both dad and Jaime proceeded to say,"You really think this is a prank Syl?" Jaime even wiped a metaphorical tear from his right eye.
"Why did you'll just repeat that?" I asked. Then they just looked at me from the floor. They slowly rose, still looking at me, and something about the look they were making gave me the idea that they stood confused. "What do you mean by that. You say we repeated that sentence." dad said, while still examining me. Jaime was the first to break out of this trance. He just wildly shook his head. "He already has started learning the process of capturing the mind signals that we masters are able to send off. Can this be why Orvax took interest in him?" Jaime turned to dad and asked. "I think so." was dad's response. This was the first time I had ever remembered dad saying something say so less in one go. That means the sentence meant something big. That means I was a keynote in this matter, which seemed important.
