I could hear the complete and utter silence coming from the cage down there. I don't think it was Dao or Jaime who built the cage, and thus were unaware of the weak spot. After a few seconds of flying, I had gone so far that Dao's crazy screams sounded like a babies whisper. I was surprised that I didn't feel any heat from Jaime's incendiary. So I stopped midair and looked back to see that Jaime, with one hand was melting down each and every object that Dao throws at me, and with the other hand, suppresses Dao. Jaime's heat hand is crazy, but no enough to subdue Dao. I realized that Jaime couldn't keep up this charade forever and that if I didn't fly away pretty soon, one of those objects might not get melted completely, and then instead of normal rocks and such being thrown at me, there are lava rocks hurtling towards me at high speeds and high temperature.
I flew around. My wings weren't draining me as much as my other powers were. I tried triggering my crystal to help me navigate my way back to the mastery. I just looked back and that disgusting cage was just a speck on the ground, bu the rocks were still pretty close considering that the two were probably hundreds of feet below me, and were almost a mile behind. I asked my crystal to trigger the mental connection of mine with Orvax, but all I got was silence. I looked down and saw a relatively familiar cave, so I did what any normal person would do. I swooped down.
At the entrance I saw something that confused me a lot. I saw my mom. She was at the police agency, complaining about me and Jaime being lost and that she was devastated. She spoke more but my attention drifted to the calendar behind her. Looking at that calendar, I saw that it has been four weeks. "Mom look at me!" I shouted out, but obviously she couldn't hear me.
Finally, my crystal spoke," She can't hear you. But we shouldn't be here. It's dangerous." It sounded like there was some personal connection for the crystal. What many people don't realize is that crystal's are also particularly living, and they hold their own problems. They have been created to aid us, but that doesn't mean we masters can't aid them too. "What happened? Is this where you were made. The prophecy was created? What is it?" I asked. "This is where the Sentinel is supposed to rise!"
