Capture the flag~ Annabeth

I run through the Forrest until I see a creek, I rip my helmet off before kneeling down to drink out of a stream. That's when I spot it, the red flag just across the small stream. I'm quick to stand and grab my sword before running through the water.
"I won" I say in disbelief before griping the flag in my hand ready to rip it off that's when someone jumps down beside me "woah, woah, woah!" I exclaim stepping back and holding my sword up
"Did you really think it would be that easy?" She speaks "my mother is the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy"
I can't take my eyes off she and she moves closer to me at first I move back but then I stop, looking at her, not knowing what else to do. I can't defend myself against her. I don't want to hurt her or anything. But of course she could hurt me. And she wouldn't hesitate to do so.
"Do you know what that means?" She speaks standing inches away from me. Her breath fanning against my face. I try to calm my racing heart but it doesn't work. It continues to beat like a jackhammer in my chest. She smirks as she notices my nervousness "I always win" she speaks pushing my chest gently
"I always lose. Maybe we're both wrong" I speaks trying not to seem nervous
She quickly moves her sword so it slices my hand. She moved again slicing the side of my face open "aah! Ow!"
I swing my sword up but she blocks it and elbows me backing me stumble back. I regain my footing and duck as she swings again for my head. I admire her for the seconds she's not trying to kill me before she swings at me again. I block it with my sword but she grabs my arm and knees me. She swings at me again and again but I block every one of her moves except one. She slices my forearm open making me hiss in pain. Fuck she's good. Then she leans down and slices my leg open making me grunt in pain and kneel down onto the ground
"Stand up and fight...hero" she says monotone
"Well it's kinda hard when you just cut the thing I stand on...open" I speak before standing and swinging at her. But she ducks and slices my side open making me collapse again. She kicks me in the back and I fall near the edge of the stream.
I hear the red team cheering before I hear someone else speak
"go to the water" dad... "The water Will give you power"
I put my hand in the water and it slowly starts to crawl up my arm and heal my cuts making me exhale softly. I stand and look at Annabeth as she gasps. I smirk as more of the red team come walking towards me. I grit my teeth and fight them off one by one. I stare at Annabeth for a second before fighting another one of her teams mates off. She runs towards me slightly but I'm too fast. I put my sword out in front of her neck making her gasp and look at me in slight shock. I smirk and wink at her before she brings her sword up and starts fighting me again. I defended myself  and she does the same until I grab her sword out of her hand and bring mine behind her head while holding the other in front of her face she breaths out heavily and looks into my eyes. I bring my swords down and hold it out to hand it to her. She puts her hand on top of mine and takes it slowly
"I could never hurt you" I speak softly as I walk past her and towards the flag which I grab and hold above my head. Everyone cheers my name.

*time skip*

Grover walks away, following some girls as I stay at the table and pour myself a drink. Someone stands next to me and I know who it is.
"Feel like a hero?" She speaks
"More like a mutant" I speak as she stares at me "I'm not going to grow a fish tail or gills or anything like that, am I?"
"Not likely" she smiles softly as I look towards her before looking away "although a huge ego isn't out of the question"
I scoff lightly and look at her while rolling my eyes
"You know, you could have killed me out there?" I speak as we start walking together "I could have died if I was normal"
"But you aren't"
"I get the sense that you don't like me very much" I sigh looking at her
"It's possible...I mean, our parents hate each other"
"Wait. They do?"
"Mm-hmm" I sigh and run a hand through my hair. God fucking damnit.
"I definitely have strong feelings for you.." she trails off looking into my eyes. "Just haven't decided if they're positive or negative yet"
"Well, you let me know when you figure it out" I smile
"You'll be the first"
