They found a pond in Central Park and he got his stuff out quickly, Olivia stood awkwardly in front of it trying to pose, self conscious about her untamed hair.
"Ready?" He raised his camera at her. She looked around, willing the passing joggers to pass faster.
"What do I do?" He tried several ways to explain, then handed her his camera and walked up to the pond. He showed her some over exaggerated model poses, fluttering his eyes and pursing his lips, she was laughing so hard her eyes were watering.
"Now don't try to be as good as me, it took years to achieve this level of perfection." He walked back, popping his hips out as he did. Olivia snorted and wiped at the corner of her eyes, "Okay I'll try not to." With some direction she felt semi-okay, they stayed at the pond for twenty minutes, then went on the search for a new scene. It didn't take long.
Beautiful maple trees with just a hint of red and orange on the tips surrounded the quaintest little wooden bridge over a tiny stream that flowed just enough to make little water sounds you wouldn't think you could hear in the city. "This is it." Crawford snapped some pictures of the landscape. She changed behind a tree into a tennis style dress in a dark pink, fitted with pleats that fell to the middle of the thigh, she went shoeless since black converse didn't really seem to go. He didn't give her any direction, just snapped pictures every few seconds. Olivia walked up the bridge, then sat, dangling her legs through the wooden slats. She went over to the other side that was more shaded by the trees and dipped her toes in the cold water. Crawford called it once the second group of international tourists passed through. They found a small rose garden and they did some shots of her in different colored leggings. Then it was time to go to the subway, so she changed into an edgy one shoulder shirt with PURESIDE on the front in a grungy scrawled font, a dark cropped jacket and jean shorts with wide black cuffs and her own shoes. They went down to the busy subway, which was an event in itself, it was crowded and dirty, she followed closely behind him until they found an empty corner. Olivia tried to look pissed off like he'd told her, it was distracting having people rush past her to their train. They finished up at ten and took a cab back to the hotel. "It was horrible right?" She asked, relieved it was over. This time he rolled his eyes and turned on the camera, "You did great." He flicked through some of the pictures, maybe there was a magic filter on his camera, but she looked...like a model, the bridge pictures were her favorite. Just her, no poses, no pointed toes, no lip pout.
"So there's the product expo tomorrow." he said as they pulled up in front of the hotel, she nodded and stood up, pulling the edge of the shorts down.
"Yeah, the twins slipped that in their last e-mail." They stepped into the elevator and he hit the button.
"They want me to bring you. If you aren't busy." He let her into his room and set down his camera equipment, then he took off his shirt. He wasn't perfect, but perfectly flawed, old scars on his tanned and toned body, light brown hair in just the right places, time resumed at it's normal pace when he pulled on a tank top.
"Nope not till Saturday." She went into the bathroom and changed out of the prototype clothes and back into her yoga pants and Boston sweatshirt.
"Did you eat anything today?" He asked while scrolling on his phone. Olivia shook her head and her stomach growled in response.
"Want to grab something?"
"Oh sure, just let check on Mulli." She dialed down to his room.
"Who's calling me on this damn phone?" He croaked.
"It's me, geez, we are going to grab some breakfast, do you want to come?" She smiled up at Crawford who was watching her.
"No, I'm meeting some of my old buddies for lunch, don't you go eating a ton of shit, you have weigh-ins."
