She smiled with pearly teeth and nodded. She had changed a lot. She had grown at least a foot in height, but was shorter than Astrid. Her face was more angled at the chin now, her childhood pudginess now gone, and had a slender figure besides the small, flat lump that protruded from her stomach. Her black hair went down to her waist in cascading waves.

She looked really different in her green long sleeves and brown, underbust dress. She was still recognizable though. Two other people stood by her, a woman who had almost the same face as hers and a man with the same hair, except with many grays in it as well.

"Astrid!" Heather yelled in excitement. "You both look so different!"

The dragons landed, one on each end of the boat so it would not tip. It swayed a bit, but settled a few seconds later. Astrid and Hiccup slid of their dragons and approached the four people standing in the middle of the rickety boat.

The whole ting comprised of a small house that, on the inside, consisted of two beds, a table and two chairs, a dresser and a crib. On the outside, the planks on the house were beginning to wear down and protrude from their spots on the boat and the shields on the side of the boat were cracked and dull, as if they hadn't been painted in many years.

Heather switched the child to just her right arm and hugged Astrid with her left. She was a little stunned at first, but then returned the hug.

"It's so good to see you!" Heather gasped.

"You too! What are you doing all the way out here? And who are they...and this little one?" Astrid asked, gesturing to the man and woman behind her and then wiggled the child's toes with her fingers.

Heather laughed. "Well, the first one is kind of a long story and ties in with my son." She said, looking down at the child. "So firstly, the people behind me are my parents."

Astrid waved to them and turned back to Heather. "The ones you were trying to save five years ago?"

Heather nodded and continued. "And this is Njord, named after his father Njoror."

"That is a baby..." Hiccup said, butting into the conversation and pointing at the child in Heathers arms.

He walked over and put his arm around Astrid so that he could lean on her again. He still did not feel one hundred percent and the swaying of the boat was not helping.

"Yes, Hiccup, it is a baby." Astrid giggled and then whispered to Heather. "He had a little too much to drink."

Heather smiled and nodded.

"Where is it's father?" Hiccup asked.

He looked down at the child with curious eyes then looked back up to Heather. She had sorrow in her eyes, a single tear ran down her face.

"He is...gone." She said sadly.

Behind them, Heathers mother sobbed into her husbands chest and they left into the small house.

"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked."

"No, its okay, i was just getting to that. It is why we are out here, headed to Berk to seek refuge. You see Njoror was also blackmailed by the outcasts and I found him on a ship all by himself at some point. Over time we took in refugees from all over and created a new tribe, The Refugees, and he was the chief. We fell in love and i had this little one about a month ago. But, someone was not happy with the way Njoror was running things...so he was challenged, and he lost. He was killed right before our eyes, leaving Njord fatherless." Heather explained.
