Chapter 7: Babygirl...

Christina's POV

I can't believe that my baby sister cuts. She's only 11, but has felt so much pain, my heart hurts for her. The girls all went to the other room to hang out, but I decided to stay with Eden, she probably needs someone right now. Edee starts to stir and I hold her close. "Hey Chrissy.", Eden tells me while stretching. She must've seen my tear streaked face and her mood immediately shifts. "Kap told you, didn't she", Eden asks, tears running trickling down her cheeks. I simply nod and pull her into an embrace. She sobs in my arms, shaking the bed with each wheeze. Eden eventually calms down and looks into my eyes, her usually vibrant, Jade eyes, cold and dark, almost like she's dead. "Every Wednesday, he called it 'My Day', he would take me up to his room and, I think you can finish that sentence.", my little sister tells me, very voice shaky, her tone robotic. I can't believe this happened to such a sweet girl. She was 5 when she was take, 5. The poor girl is barely 11 and has already been through more than most adults. "Christina, can I tell you something?", Eden asks me. "Sure baby, you can always tell me anything.", I respond. All of my sisters know if they ever need someone to talk to, I'll be there no matter what. In an almost inaudible whisper, she says, "Chris, I wanna die."

I gasp. Eden is hurting so much, I feel like throwing up. "Babygirl, I know it's hard sometimes, but suicide is never ever the answer. I love you so much, and it hurts me that you walked through a living hell as a child. If you ever feel like hurting yourself or dying, please talk to me. We all need you, we were broken without you. It's gonna be okay, maybe not today, but one day. Do you wanna tell the girls about this or keep it in between us?", I respond, shocked. "Keep it between us, you're to only one that knows, we can tell them eventually.", Eden tells me honestly.

She cuddles up close to me and slowly drifts to sleep. I can't believe what Eden has gone through, she didn't deserve any of it. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but what I see is a broken little girl. I grab the notepad on the hotel's nightstand and quickly jot down some song lyrics about Eden, on how much she changed my life from the day she was born

I take a picture of it and quickly send it to Kath, she responds almost immediately with 'dang that's good, let's save it for our album! It's been a while since you've written like that, and I sure did miss it.'

I'm so glad Katherine likes it, I would release it regardless, I need a song for my baby sister that I longed for everyday for 5 years. I hold Edee a little closer, like if I let go she would be gone again. I'm so glad our family is complete again.
