"You're his what?" Tonks gaped at me from the doorway.

I was sitting in my bed with a transfiguration book in one hand and a quill in the other so I could take notes. I had just spent most of the morning and afternoon learning spells from Mom, Sirius, and Remus in a sitting room with all the furniture pushed up against the walls. The Weasley twins had tried to budge in and show me a few jinxes, but were instead jinxed by Sirius and then shoved out of the room. Once four o'clock started to roll around, Mom and Remus gave me a few assigned readings from the books I got from the previous day and advised me to take notes.

However, it was later in the evening when I found out word had spread about me and Sirius's relation. Questions were asked and Mom, Sirius, and I tried to explain as best as we could. Remus was the only one not surprised. After dinner, I locked myself into my room and started on my assigned readings to avoid any more questions and let Mom and Sirius take the bullet for this one. Tonks ended up coming over after dinner and must have just heard the news.

"Daughter," I answered, not taking my eyes off of the transfiguration book. "It's what an offspring is called if they're a girl."

"I knew there was something about you." She plopped herself onto her bed. "You do know what this means, right?"

"Um, no?"

She rolled her eyes. "It means we're cousins!"

"What?" I finally jerked my head up at her.

"Sirius and my mum are cousins. So that makes us second cousins!"

I blinked as I took in this information. Then slowly, I grinned. "You're right." I laughed. Dad had only one sibling and Aunt Dani couldn't have children so I really didn't have any other family besides her, Mom, Dad, and Dad's parents.

"This is great! I don't exactly... uh... get along with my other cousin. Or most of my mum's family for that matter. They kind of shunned us."

"Muggle-born parent?"

"How did you know?"

"Lucky guess," I shrugged, biting back a smile.

The next couple days I was dedicated to my studies and learning all that I could, especially if I want to keep up with Ron, Hermione, and the rest of them. In the evenings, I found myself in Hermione and Ginny's room as they helped me study. Hermione was great at explaining things in extreme detail, but Ginny was fantastic at summarizing and simplifying whatever Hermione said.

When Friday night rolled around, the underage kids were ordered to stay upstairs as an Order meeting was taking place. Sirius told us earlier that day that they were sending people to pick up Harry later that night, much to Ron and Hermione's relief. I knew that Harry was going to be a bit frustrated with how this past week went, and decided to lock myself in my room and do more readings. I've found that Transfiguration came quite easily to me, which excited me. The idea of turning Hank into a cockroach gave me the perfect motivation to study the subject harder and go beyond Mom and Remus's assigned readings.

It was after a few hours when I heard yelling from the floor above me. The voice was unrecognizable, but I had a feeling who it was. I sighed and returned to my book. I'll let him have his rant before I introduce myself. I was curious on how he would react to me being the daughter of Sirius Black, his godfather.

About an hour passed when Mrs. Weasley told me it was okay to come down for dinner. She ran up to the third floor to fetch the others as I made my way down to the dining room. A few Order members had stayed for dinner by the amount of plates on the table. Mad-Eye was with Mundungus Fletcher, a man I met the other day that had me checking my pockets every few seconds. There was something about him that made me weary. Tonks was chatting with a young man whose red hair was pulled back into a ponytail. Bill Weasley. Mom and Sirius were standing by the door, their heads together whispering under their breaths.
