It's Just A Dream

Chapter 10

~Grace's P.O.V~

I was running fast and far from something, someone. I looked down and saw a long lace dress flowing behind me. It was getting hard to breath and I could tell what ever was chasing me was right behind me.

I was yanked back and I was staring the monster right in the eyes. Damon.

"Hey beautiful." he said. His words felt like ice crystals stabbing me. So cold and sharp.

"Eli!" I yelled.

Damon covered my mouth and made a sad face, "Oh honey, Eli can't help you."

Just then Eli appeared behind him and he was hanging by the neck off of a tree. Although it can't kill him he is going in and out of consciousness and can't get out.

The sight horrifies me and I run to his aid.

Damon pulls me back by the throat and I am crying, "You monster!" I yell as my vision goes black.

"Oh honey, that is what they all say."

As he let me go I screamed for someone, anyone to help me.

I woke up screaming. I was sweating and crying. It was one in the morning.

Eli busted through the doors thinking something was wrong, "What's wrong?" he asked.

I wiped away the tears, thinking about the dream again. How could I dream of such horrid things.

Reading my mind Eli came and sat next to me, "Oh baby, it's alright, it was just a dream."

"I know but- but it was just so... horrid." I said.

"I'm sorry." he said rubbing my shoulders.

"Eli, can you stay with me tonight?" I asked.

"Of course." he said.

I laid my head on his chest and fell asleep to him rubbing my back.

I woke up and Eli was still there, "Mornin' babe." he said.

"Hi, thanks for staying with me."

"Of course, why wouldn't I?"

Just then Sassy jumped up on the bed and laid on Eli's chest.

"Aww, look at that. She likes you."

"You know who she likes more?" he asked.

"Who?"

"Jayson."

I got where he was going with this so I picked her up and got out of the bed, "It would be a shame if Sassy didn't get to see her favorite person this morning."

Eli opened the door and I walked to Jayson's room. Eli cracked it open and I slid Sassy in there. We closed the door and waited for him to scream.

"Oh my God! Again?!" he yelled. "Grace, if you don't come get your damn dog I am going to kill it!"

I walked in and grabbed Sassy, "Geez, one of these days you are going to like Sassy. I can see it."

"Well today isn't that day, and I don't like it when it wakes me up."

"Grow up man." Eli said walking in.

Just then Alex walked in, "Hey guys we are going to throw a party tonight. I want to meet some hot chicks." he said.

"Okay cool, when?" Eli asked.

"Six, I figured we could use the pool too."

"Wait y'all have a pool?" I asked.

"Yeah, you didn't know?" Jayson said.

"No, y'all never told me."

"Well now you know, you should get dressed. We need help setting up." Alex said.

Eli whispered in my ear, "Don't worry about that, you don't have to help."

"Okay." I said.

It is an hour before the party and I was getting ready.

I had on a crop top, shorts, and I was wearing my bikini underneath it.

I walked down stairs and saw Eli and the boys standing in their swim trunks and tank tops.

I looked around for Sassy and busted out laughing when I saw her. She was wearing this cute little life jacket around her tiny figure.

She ran up to me and I picked her up. The guys noticed me there because of my laughs and they whistled.

I blushed and set Sassy down, "You look nice." Eli said coming up to me.

I wrapped my hands around his neck as he wrapped his around my waist. Our foreheads were touching and I kissed him on the cheek, "Really, you don't look too bad yourself." I joked.

He kissed my lips and we were interrupted by Alex clearing his throat, then walking away. What is his problem?

I walked out back and started stripping down to my bikini as people showed up.

I was looking at all the people that I had never seen before and began to hide myself and not get in the pool.

Eli came up to me and kissed me, "Why aren't you in the pool?" he asked.

"I don't know any of these people." I said.

"Come with me." he said.

I followed him as he took me to these two people. There was a guy and a girl, "Grace this is Melisa and Paul." he said.

"Melisa and Paul, this is Grace." he said introducing us, "Y'all have fun." he said disappearing off to someone else.

"So." I said, "How long have you been together?" I asked.

Paul started laughing, no giggling, "Oh Grace, I would never go out with a girl, let alone her."

"Yeah, he is gay." Melisa said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry." I apologized, getting embarrassed.

"It's okay." Paul said.

"Do you want to swim?" Melisa asked.

"Sure." We agreed.

We walked outside and Paul took off his shirt. He had a scrawny figure but it was cute.

"Come on Grace, lets have some fun." Paul said pushing me into the pool, him and Melisa following.
