Alex's POV-

I made my way out of class. Laf called me and said to meet up at the Library. I don't know why.

I walked through the doors of the immense library, carefully closing the door to avoid getting scolded by the librarian, which would make it the fifth time today.

I spotted my friends. The Rev Set we liked to call ourselves. I took a seat between Peggy and Herc.

They were talking about...cake flavor?

"Guys?" I waved in front of their faces to catch their attention. "What are we here for?"

"Oh, uh, right. Sorry Alex", Lafayette apologized. "It's John's birthday in a week. October the 28th"

"what."

I  looked completely calm.
For now.

"HOW COULD I NOT KNOW THIS?!" I yelled, shaking Herc.

The whole library filled with 'shushes'. And, the librarian scolded me, for the fifth time today.

I mumbled, "Sorry" to both Herc and the whole library.

"Right..." Eliza said, nervously fidgeting with her hair tie. "We forgot to tell you."

"Okay. So let's continue whatever stuff we were talking about..." they all nodded in repy.

-time skip-

Angelica was the planner. Liza would bake the cake, since she bakes the best in the group. Hercules and Peggy would decorate the dorm while John would be at class. I had to keep an eye on John since we had the same classes that day. Lafayette would bring the rest of the food.

Currently, we were arguing about the design of the cake. Eliza was drawing it on her sketch pad.

"Guys, I'm telling you, it should have red, white, and blue. FRANCE!" Laf said loudly, causing the entire library to erupt with hissing sounds.

"Laf, this isn't your birthday." Angie muttered.

"Vanilla!" Herc yelled.

"Chocolate!" Peggy shouted back.

It's been getting really annoying. I stated to make things clear, "SHUT UP GUYS!" They all did what they were commanded. "Good. It should have the gay pride flag, some turtles. We can have both vanilla and chocolate tiers. Maybe add a swig of Sam Adams in each since that's John's favorite beer. Are we clear?"

They all nodded.

"Thanks, Alex." Eliza smiled. "Getting pretty tiring already."

"No problem."

Hercules had to leave because John might get suspicious about his absence. Lafayette and I shortly left since we were getting tired. The Schuylers followed us from behind.

-October 27-

It was the day before John's birthday. He was turning 22. They grow up so fast--

Nevermind.

I was walking around the city to try and find a gift. I was the only one who didn't have a gift for John, yet. I suddenly see at a window of a store the perfect gift for John. It had to be perfect, I hope.

I quickly entered the shop and bought the gift. Sorry, I'm not mentioning it :P. I bought other accessories that go with it. I don't care what the price is, what matters is John's happiness.

AH, what's happening to me really? Am I going to the more gay side of being bisexual?

I payed for the items quickly and left. I carried the bag carefully, since it's as fragile as John. I called a cab to head back to King's College.
