Alex's POV-

"Alex", John answered.

My smile grew even wider.

"Ahem" We turned around and saw Lafayette standing at the doorway. I felt my cheeks grow warm and John's had a pink tint painted onto his.

"W-where's Herc?" I changed the subject.

"Oh, he's having a major hangover"

"How come you don't get hangovers?" John complained.

"Magic", he said, doing jazz fingers. I chuckled.

"Yeah, right", John rolled his eyes, mimicking Laf.

"Whatever. Come on, Alex. Let's go back to our dorm", Lafayette waved to John.

John turned to hug me. I gladly melted into his embrace. "Thank you, Alex. For Alex", he laughed at his use of words.

"Of course. Bye, see you soon!" I waved goodbye and followed a smirking Laf out the door.

"Shut up", I said before he could even say anything.

We reached our dorm and I sighed tiredly into the couch.

"Hey, Alex. Want some coffee?" he asked.

"Sure", I got up and followed Laf to the kitchen, were I sat down at the table.

He handed me the cup and I mumbled a 'thanks'.

Just sweet coffee. Just like--

Yeah, John...
I'm glad I made John happy. I saw a genuine smile on his face at the party. Not like a fake one.

His smile just makes me want to leap in the air. It melts my heart. He makes me feel so...

Helpless.

I didn't really know what I was doing but I asked Laf, "Hey, Laf?"

"Yeah?"

"So uhm... I need some advice", I said scratching the back of my neck.

Lafayette's POV-

"So uhm... I need some advice", Alex said scratching the back of his neck.

My eyes lit up. I hope this is about John.

"What about?" I tried to maintain my excitement.

"W-well you s-see... I-I have this... friend", he stuttered. Oh.

He continued, "H-he likes a friend o-of his...and w-wants to t-tell about h-his feelings to him..."

"Ah. I see. But I'm not getting one thing...", I smirked. "Who is this friend of yours?"

His eyes widened. He mumbled, "M-me..."

"Knew it! Alex had a CrUsh" I laughed. "And who might your friend be?" I wiggled my eyebrows.

"L-laurens..." he blushed.

"YEEYEYEY!!!!" I ran around the room. "Sorry. Uhm... you're good at writing. Why not make a letter?"

"Sure! Thanks, Laf!" he hugged me before putting on a stern look. "Don't you dare tell anyone" I nodded and he bolted to his room.

I sighed, contently. Mission accomplished.

Once I made sure he was onto his letter, I pulled out my phone. He said "don't tell anyone". But texting is different, right? You just tell the phone and the phone tells it to whoever.
