John's POV-

It's been about a week since Alex and I had our little date.

I woke up, opened my eyes, only to be blinded by the morning sun.

"GAh-"
And fell of the bed.

We all have those times.

"You alright, John?" Alex, who was still on the bed, called, yawning afterwards.

I put my thumbs up. "Yeah!"

"Alright..." Alex trailed off. I heard some shifting then snores.

I stood up and chuckled. "Cute."

I kissed his forehead before, still on my pajamas, heading off to the kitchen, where someone was cooking.

"Good morning...Thomas?" I saw Thomas, mixing what looked like cheese sauce, and boiling pasta, by the stove.

"Morning, John." Thomas grinned.

Oh and did I mention to you that Jeffmads is now official?

"Why are you making..." I took a step closer and realised he was making mac n' cheese. "Mac n' cheese?"

"Little Jemmy is sick." He frowned. "I always make him this."

"Aww." I cooed. "Where are the others?"

"Still asleep." He mumbled. "It's pretty early."

"Oh?" I checked my phone and it was indeed early, 5:34 AM to be precise.

"Yeah...want some?" He asked as he piled mac n' cheese onto two plates.

"Nah, I'll pass. Maybe later." I said. "I'll just head over to the café Sally works in."

"Not mine?" He frowned, transferring the mac n' cheese to a bigger bowl, presumably for Peggy.

"Nope." I laughed.

"Nice, less income." He grumbled. "Bye."

"Adios!" I saluted. I went back to my room and slipped on a sweater, not bothering to get out of my pajamas.

I got my keys, wallet, and phone and went out of the penthouse.

Once I was out into the fresh air, I took a deep breath and walked to the small café.

I was walking to the coffee shop, off-campus, where Sally works. I know she's not there, instead, asleep, but their blueberry muffins were delicious.

I entered the shop only to be meet by fucking Charles Lee, at the counter.

"Hello, Laurens." He grumbled.

"Hello, Lee." I frowned. "You work here?"

"Indeed, I do." He narrowed his eyes. "Got a problem with that, jackass?"

"LEE! CAN YOU PLEASE TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS PROPERLY?" A voice, who most likely belonged to the manager, shouted.

"AND IF I DON'T?" Charles snapped.

"IMAGINE A CALL FOR YOUR REMOVAL!"

"Okay, fine." Charles surrendered. "What would you like from this café ran by my horrible manager?" Charles said, mimicking a high-pitched voice.

I snorted. "Two blueberry muffins, one large black coffee."

"Now, look who's bitter." Charles laughed.

"It's for Alex." I said, smiling at the thought of my little cute Lexi.

"Yeah, yeah." Charles handed him the bag of muffins. "Here. Coffee's at the other side."

"Alright, Lee." I went over to the counter, but was still close enough to hear Charles.

"I hate my job." Charles groaned.

"I could kindly ask your manager to fire you!" I chirped, grinning evilly.

"No, don't!" Lee exclaimed. "If you dare..."

"Suit yourself." I shrugged and claimed the coffee. "Good-bye, Lee!"

"Not-good-bye, Laurens!" Charles barked.

I laughed.
Enemies. Amiright?

I walked out of the little shop and crossed the road, humming to a litte tune.

I choose you....

Were the last words I thought of before I heard the distant honking of a car, and saw black.

Alex's POV-

I woke up due to the loud ringing from my phone being blasted through my ears.

John was nowhere to be found, so I suspected that he was at class or buying coffee.

Hopefully he gets some for me, too.

I looked at the contact and see:

Jacky 💞

I quickly answered the phone.
"John!"

"Hello, is this Alexander Hamilton?" A clam voice of a woman came from the other line.

"Y-Yes? Where's John?!" I asked, panicked.

"This is Saint Luke's Hospital."

What?!
