Tiffany drops the hay outside the two stalls and laughs at the sight that greets her.
The two horses are facing each other, sniffing each other's nose and muzzle through the gaps between the bars that separate their stalls.
"Early morning romance?" she asks as she goes inside her horse's stall and greets it. "You are making me jealous. Are we getting a mini Ice Cream soon?"
Taeyeon's horse has been there for a couple of months now and luckily, the animals-along with Yuri's horse which has been moved into the stables as well-get along well.
They also help reduce the tension between Taeyeon and Tiffany because whenever the blonde's there, she will personally take care of the white stallion, gaining respect from Tiffany.
Because she can't be there all the time, she has requested Tiffany's help to take care of her horse in her absence. In return, she pays not only for the feed and maintenance costs but also adding extra incentive for Tiffany as a reward for her help.
A new stable is being built a short distance away from the old one. It's bigger and more modern, professionally designed and thoroughly equipped to accommodate more horses. Construction will be completed any day now and Tiffany's expecting Taeyeon to arrive in time to move the horses there.
She doesn't know that the woman has arrived hours ago, quietly sneaking inside the house to get a few hours of sleep. Taeyeon didn't take the chopper because she knew she'd arrive past midnight and didn't want to wake up everyone there.
She hasn't had enough sleep but several constructions workers have gotten up and started preparing for work, waking her up in the process.
Without bothering to change her clothes or take a shower, she heads straight to the stables after she has brushed her teeth and tied her short hair up in a small ponytail, only to see Tiffany cheerfully talking to the horses.
When she realizes that the woman is unaware of her presence, she takes her time to watch her, suppressing a smile when she hears her tease the horses about safe sex and parenting.
Tiffany is attractive. It's a fact that Taeyeon's been well aware of since the first time she met her but unfortunately, she rarely gets the opportunity to see her being herself because of the guard the woman puts up around her. Sometimes, when there were only the two of them and their horses, she got to see glimpses of the real Tiffany that Seohyun, Sunny, Yoona and Yuri have been telling her about but those moments never lasted longer than a few seconds. So now that the opportunity has presented itself, she chooses to make the most of it and quietly enjoys the scene for as long as she can.
Unfortunately, her horse somehow senses her presence and moves towards her while snorting, causing Tiffany to turn around.
"Good morning," the brunette greets Taeyeon, not failing to notice the tied up hair, no make-up face and worn sweatpants. "When did you arrive?"
"Last night," replies Taeyeon as she approaches the horse, greeting it with a warm pat on the muzzle. "How are you?"
"Are you asking him or me?"
"Both of you."
"I'm okay. I think it's safe to say that he is too."
