The sound of a ringtone interrupts the ongoing conversation and Tiffany politely excuses herself before turning away to answer the phone.
“Hi,” she hears Taeyeon’s voice.
“Hey, can I call you back later? Dealing with a guest right now,” whispers Tiffany, covering her mouth as she speaks into the phone.
“Oh sure. Go on.”
“Bye.”
Quickly, Tiffany puts her phone back inside her pocket, apologizes and continues talking to the guest, sorting out the man’s family itinerary while on the ranch.
Twenty minutes later, she excuses herself, switches shifts with Yuri and goes back to the house.
She dials Taeyeon’s number as soon as she steps through the door.
“Hey, done?” asks the blonde.
“Yeah. You’re such a slave driver,” she complains as she walks up to her room.
Taeyeon chuckles. “Hey it’s not my fault the resort is so famous now. You’re the one who appeared all friendly and attractive in that article,” she says, referring to an online article about the resort which includes photos of Tiffany, Yuri and Hyoyeon and a good review about the place. Since it was published, business has increased at least three-fold.
“Whose idea was that article in the first place?” retorts Tiffany.
“Hyoyeon’s. I just gave my permission.”
“Smartass,” mumbles Tiffany under her breath as she jumps onto her bed, dropping her body with a loud groan.
“Tired?”
“Yeah.” The brunette sighs. “Can’t wait for tomorrow.”
“Me neither,” says Taeyeon, smiling to herself, excited at the thought of seeing Tiffany again after weeks apart. She was traveling all over the world, checking up on all her businesses and looking at opportunities to create new ones.
They’ve been officially dating for a few months now and Tiffany has gone back to work as the resort manager, much to Yuri’s and the other staff’s delight.
Most of the time, it’s Taeyeon who comes over to the ranch to see Tiffany although the brunette has spent a week staying in Taeyeon’s penthouse—keeping the blonde company—before she started her full-time job.
Tomorrow, as per Tiffany’s suggestion, they’ll go on a one-week vacation because according to her, Taeyeon needs to relax and unwind, recharge after the tough couple of years she’s had.
The blonde couldn’t say no, even when Tiffany insisted that they planned everything together without Seohyun’s help.
Several arguments arose during the planning stage with Tiffany thinking about budget and Taeyeon not even blinking when she booked things, including the private villa in one of the most expensive resorts on the island they’re going to visit.
“Nothing’s too good for my girlfriend,” she has told Tiffany who blushed but shook her head nevertheless.
“The chopper will pick you up in the morning and take you to the airport. I’ll meet you there,” says the blonde.
