Tiffany grimaces, puts her guitar down and uses both hands to cover her ears because Sunny and Yuri have been teasing her nonstop about the instrument when they found out who gave it to her.
She's about to run out of the den when the three of them hear the familiar rumble of the helicopter.
"Taeyeon's coming?" Sunny instantly turns serious, checking her phone in case she misses a notification from Seohyun. "No one said anything. Is it another sudden inspection?" she mumbles to herself. "She just left literally days ago."
Tiffany is also surprised since the blonde never mentioned anything about coming back in their daily phone calls and text messages.
The three of them go out of the house to see Seohyun walking towards them alongside Yoona who has come out and readily greeted her. There is no sign of Taeyeon though.
"Oh it's just Seohyun," Sunny remarks in relief. "Probably has an errand to run."
The assistant greets them cheerfully then proceeds to explain the reason behind her sudden visit as they move inside the house, to the living room.
"I'm here to pick you up, Fany unnie. Taeyeon unnie needs you," she tells the surprised Tiffany. "The program manager she wants to recruit has agreed to meet her for a dinner interview and she wants you to be there too."
"Me? Why?" asks Tiffany.
"Because you will be working with her on a daily basis so she needs your input. She also wants you to help woo this candidate because at the moment, she's still employed by a famous resort."
"Oh. I see. Err... dinner means... tonight?" Tiffany checks her watch.
"Yes. We'll leave as soon as possible so kindly get ready. I will wait for you here."
"O-kay then. Formal dinner?"
"Not really. Just a casual business talk over a meal."
"Oh." Tiffany's not sure what that means in terms of attire so she goes up to her room, takes a shower, does her hair and make-up and decides on a pair of her best jeans, a white t-shirt and a pink jacket to wear over it. Then she ties a pink scarf around her neck. "Is this acceptable?" she asks Seohyun who smiles and nods.
"Perfect, Unnie. Let's go."
It's the first time Tiffany has ever been in a helicopter so she's a bit nervous but Seohyun assures her that it's okay.
They fly for less than an hour and Tiffany can't help but hold her breath when she sees the city skyline lighting up now that the sun has set. But the real surprise comes when the chopper lands on a helipad on top of a tall skyscraper.
At first, she thought it was Taeyeon's office building but as she follows Seohyun out of the chopper and into the building-accompanied by a security guard-she realizes that they're in an apartment building; a very luxurious one at that since there's a private helipad on the roof.
But instead of being brought into Taeyeon's apartment, Tiffany is escorted directly down to the lobby where a fancy European sports car is waiting for her.
The security guard opens the car door for her and she gets inside only to see Taeyeon sitting behind the wheel, smiling at her.
