"So?" Yuri sits on the bed and grabs Tiffany's pillow, squeezing it, unable to contain her excitement. She's been squealing and jumping like a kid ever since Tiffany landed back on the ranch, waiting to hear the details about her friend's stay at Taeyeon's place. "There's something going on between you two, isn't there? That guitar, those trips to the cabin, the horses thing... You've been so happy lately and I'm glad," she says before she launches into her interrogation. "So what did you do in the city? Did she take you out on a date? Was it romantic? Fancy? Did you take a limo? A Rolls Royce? Her jet? Did you go shopping? You're wearing a different outfit and that's a huge shopping bag that you didn't have when you left yesterday." She points at the shopping bag Tiffany had brought with her.
Tiffany rolls her eyes and takes out a clean towel and an old t-shirt. "You're so annoying," she mutters under her breath then turns around. "We interviewed the program manager candidate and she will get back to us with her answer next week."
"That wouldn't have taken a day or an overnight stay," retorts Yuri. "Spill it. Now. Or I will keep nagging you."
"Only if you promise to keep it to yourself. I don't want anyone knowing about this, not even Sunny or Yoona. She's our boss, after all."
Yuri lifts a hand. "I swear not to tell a soul."
"Good. Yes, we went on a date. Is that what you wanted to hear?"
"Ha! I knew it!" Yuri throws an air punch and pats herself on the shoulder. "See? Told ya that you two would've gotten together eventually. Now details please."
Tiffany sighs and sits on the foot of the bed. "We didn't go out much. Her life is different there. She has bodyguards following her everywhere and she prefers staying home during her free time, apparently. So we only went out shopping for a bit and grabbed coffee. We stayed in her apartment for the rest of it. Dennis came by to cook all our meals and then we watched a movie. The end." She then stands up. "Now I need to shower."
"That's a date? You stayed at her place nearly all day."
"She prefers it that way," says Tiffany as she goes to the bathroom.
When she comes out nearly half an hour later, Yuri is still in her room, lying on her bed, waiting for her.
"Why are you still here?" asks Tiffany.
"Because I'm still curious," replies Yuri casually. "So are you two officially dating now?"
Tiffany shakes her head and dries her hair to drown her friend's voice.
Yuri sulks when she's ignored but persists in her questioning, waiting until Tiffany's done drying her hair. "I don't understand. You admit that there's something between you, you went on a date, you stayed over at her place, you've been spending a lot of time together... how is that not dating?"
"We're still getting to know each other."
"More like you're still being cowards," argues Yuri. "I can understand why you're hesitating but what's her excuse?"
"I don't know but I think she's being cautious. Not only do I work for her, she also never had a serious relationship before."
"What?! How is that possible?" exclaims Yuri. "She's pretty, cute, smart, and very very rich!"
"I know but I think that also makes her hard to approach."
