Tiffany takes the popcorn bowl from Sooyoung and checks her watch before grabbing a handful of popcorn, stuffing them into her mouth.

“What’s taking them so long?” she asks through her full mouth.

“Seohyun takes forever to decide on what to buy,” replies Sooyoung knowingly. “I’m almost 100% sure that Taeng would arrive before they do.”

Tiffany shakes her head and continues her snacking as the movie progresses. She has watched it before so she’s not really too enthusiastic about following the plot, unlike the tall psychiatrist who literally begged her to watch it with her.

They’re sitting in Taeyeon’s lavish living room, making use of her super large screen TV, high-end speakers and the whole expensive set up she has.

All of them are supposed to have lunch and spend the day together but the blonde was called in for an emergency board meeting early in the morning so the rest decided to go out and shop while waiting for the host. Tiffany and Sooyoung are feeling lazy today so they chose to stay home and watch movies.

“I’m bored,” Sooyoung suddenly says. “This movie is not as exciting as I thought.”

“Told ya it’s average,” quips Tiffany.

“So you two are doing well, huh? I haven’t seen my little friend around my office since you two went to Bali for that one-week vacation,” remarks the therapist. “Even before then, after you got together, she rarely came by.”

“Sorry I cost you income,” jokes Tiffany, grinning when Sooyoung laughs.

“Nah. This is one income I’m glad to lose. She has never been happier. As her friend and her shrink, I am beyond relieved,” the tall woman says. “I am crossing my fingers and praying that this will last. You’re good for each other.”

“I want it to last too. She is wonderful,” replies a beaming Tiffany. “I just wish that she’s not as rich, sometimes. For others, her money might be attractive but for me, it’s burdensome. Maybe because I’m so used to the simple ranch life and Daddy raised me in such a way that I never felt like I lacked anything. Except during that time after his death… the debts…” She sighs, glad that it’s behind her. “That was the only time in life when I felt that money could buy happiness. And freedom too.”

“Totally understandable,” Sooyoung comments as she takes the popcorn bowl back before it’s empty. “Money is definitely important and nice to have but it’s not everything.”

“Agree.”

“So aside from the occasional arguments about spending, nothing serious?”

“I didn’t say that we argue about spending.” Tiffany raises her eyebrows, surprised by Sooyoung’s statement. “So it’s true. You have evil fairy power.”

The tall woman laughs. “I’m no Mrs. M,” she says cheekily. “I just drew a conclusion based on what you told me. There is nothing magical about it.” Then her hand hits the bottom of the empty popcorn bowl and she frowns. “Darn it. Call the girls. Tell them to pick up more popcorn on their way back.”

“Yes, Ma’am.” Tiffany grabs her phone and texts her friends.

“So what else do you argue about?”
