The past few days were full of Makari and I spending as much time as we could together. Unlike when I was at Jaxon's and Ariel's, Makari felt confident enough for us to go out every now and then. Sometimes we went on long drives, as he would show me his favorite spots in the city, or it would be something as small as grocery shopping. Whatever it was, it felt nice to not be cooped up in the house all of time.

We hadn't done anything sexual since the last time, as Makari was still set on taking things slow. I didn't mind, though sometimes I was hard to fight the temptation. I'd never been one to be aroused easily, but ever since the first time he touched me, I've noticed it a lot more frequently.

I was standing in front of Makari's bathroom mirror. He had, very out of the blue, told me to start getting ready, as he wanted to go out to dinner tonight. I didn't object, obviously. I couldn't remember the last time I went on an actual date.

Makari had picked out a silky dress that was a deep emerald green for me to wear tonight. It wasn't tight, but it hugged different parts of my body perfectly. The sleeves were spaghetti strap, and it stopped just below my knee. It was beautiful, and I was surprised at how nice Makari's taste was. My hair wasn't cooperating, and my stomach dropped slightly as I remembered the day Mitra had called me complaining about the same thing. I missed her, but I knew she trusted me. If she felt something was wrong, I'm sure she would've come to find me by now.

I settled on tying my hair in a low side ponytail, curling the ends. It was simple enough to not look too fancy, but it brought the look together. I had only put on mascara and gloss on, though Makari told me not to use any. I gave up trying to explain to him that looks didn't feel complete to me if I didn't at least had some make up on. I put two crystal studs on each of my ears, and stepped back, admiring my appearance. I'd always had confidence in how I looked, but with Makari's compliments every now and then, I felt like I had more than ever before.

I stepped out of the bathroom to be greeted by Makari, who was buttoning up his shirt in the mirror outside of his closet. I watched as his eyes caught mine in the reflection, turning around to look at me. "Damn." He said, as he scanned me up and down, before looking back up at my face. I felt the heat rising in my cheeks again, blushing. I chuckled, "Damn? That's all I get?" I joked, walking up to him. The closer I got, the more I smelled his cologne, which has become one of my favorite smells. I reached up, butting the last button on his shirt. He was wearing a black buttoned up long sleeve, with black slacks and black dress shoes. He laughed, "Yeah, that's all you get," he said, winking at me. His usual wild hair was styled in such a way that it almost looked wet, but the waves in his hair brought more attention to his face, which I could hardly ever take my eyes off of anyway.

"Thanks," I said, sarcastically. I had began to let my hands fall after finishing the last button, before he caught them, bringing them up to his lips. His gently kissed my fingers, "You look beautiful." he said, looking up at me. I gave him a small smile, before pulling away. "Thank you," I replied, softly, "But we're going to be late." I said, turning around to put my heels on. "You don't even have your heels on," he mocked, as I could feel his eyes on me. "Well, if you had kept looking at me like that we wouldn't have left at all." I taunted, bending over to strap the black heels on. I heard him chuckle behind me, "I'll be downstairs, then." He said, before walking out of his bedroom.

The restaurant wasn't far from Makari's house. I still didn't know where we were going though, because Makari wanted to keep it a surprise. He parked his car in the parking lot, as he opened the door to get out. "Stay," he said, before shutting his door. I rolled my eyes, watching him make his way to my side of the car. Makari looked me through the window, winking, before opening the door to let me out. "M'lady," he said, bowing his head. "Please," I laughed, stepping out of the car.
