My heart skipped a beat at the sound of his voice. "I would never," I said, spinning around to look at him.
Just as I'd seen him in my dreams, his eyes were bright in the dark setting we were in. I lifted my hands and placed them on his cheeks, holding his face in my hands. He leaned his head down, leaning his forehead against mine.
"Where have you been?" I asked him, his lips inches away from mine. "I couldn't find you, wherever you were." he said, "I think your little wizard friend placed a spell around where you stayed."
I chuckled, "Well, I'm here now." I said, pulling away from him and looking into his eyes.
He slid his hand onto my cheek, as I leaned my face into it. "Come with me," he said, looking down at me.
"Come with you?" I asked, "Where?" Looking back at him, a grin appeared on his face. "Does it matter?" he asked, taking his hand away from my face as he slid his arms around my waist and held me against him. "You should've been with me a long time ago," he said.
My stomach felt like it was filled with butterflies, as I felt my heart pounding against my chest. A million thoughts were running through my head. I didn't want to betray Jaxon and Ariel, or leave Mitra...but he was right here. All I had to do was go with him, right now...
"Okay," I said, and just like that, we were gone.
Gabriel
I pressed my body against his, holding him up against the wall. He moaned against my mouth as I kissed him, he tongue sliding along mine. Unbuttoning my pants, he reached down, stroking his hand along the outside of my boxers.
I pulled away from him, grabbing his forearm. "Stop," I demanded. "W-what? Did I something wrong?" he asked me, his face covered with worry. "No, I-"
I didn't know what, but something was wrong. I stood there in confusion trying to see what my mind was warning me about, until I saw it.
Leila is with Makari.
"I'm sorry," I said, pulling my pants back up, "I have to go." I turned, buttoning my pants as I made my way out of the bathroom "Gabe! Wai-" the sound of his voice was cut off by the slamming of the door.
I pushed through the crowd of people at the bar, reaching for my phone. I dialed Jaxon's number, holding my phone to my ear. I pushed the door open as I heard the tone ring twice.
"Pick up, dammit," I growled, as I stepped out into the street. I walked over to my car, opening the door and sitting in the driver's seat.
"Hello?" Jaxon yelled into the phone, I heard loud music and people's voices in the background. "What- Where the fuck are you?" I asked him, my voice stern. I placed the keys into the ignition, as the engine of my car started.
"I'm at the club with the girls. What's wrong?" he yelled again. I could barely hear him over the sound of everything around him. "Why aren't you with Leila?" I demanded, as I sped off. I needed to get to them as soon as possible.
"Leil- wh- I am with Leila!" he said. "Look again, Jaxon" I said. I waited as I heard him pull away from the phone. "Oh shit," he said. "Where are you?" He asked me, "I'm already on my way, dumbass." I said, "Stay where you are." I hung up the phone as I made my way to the club.
Trying to focus on Leila and driving was almost impossible. Why the hell would Jaxon slip up so easily?
I was pushing 80 as I sped down the street, I looked down at my phone as it rang. I rolled my eyes, "Yes?" I answered. "Whereee did you goooo?" Alex asked me, clearly intoxicated. "Don't worry about it. Go home, Alex." I said, "And don't call me again tonight." I demanded. "Gab-" I hung up the phone before he could finish.
