"hey."
y/n said, glancing over at the male who stood at the door. her dorm room was dimly lit, with her record player's music the only sound in the room. she was seated on her bed, legs dangling from the mattress.
"can i sit?" katsuki mumbled. he was thankful the room wasn't as bright, since his eyes were puffy, not wanting the other person in the room to notice.
"go ahead."
he obliged, settling down next to y/n, quietly.
"you were right about everything." the girl scoffed. "i-i mean, it's so f-fucking dumb. how could have i ever caught up to you and izuku..? it w-would be better if i stopped trying. every single person is so.. they're just so much better than me." she held back the tears that were trying so desperately to escape.
the boy next to her tried to interrupt, but she kept going.
"i-i noticed other things, too. like how if i just ended it all, no one would c-care." y/n clenched her hands, nails started to dig into her skin. "i'm.. i take up too much space and time. you w-wouldn't be sitting here if i never existed. you would b-be much happier, i hope... y-y'know?"
"no. no i don't fucking know." katsuki glared at her. "why? because i was wrong. i should have never said a damn thing about you and staying up late. i know how hard you try to work your way up to us." his gaze softened. "everyone would be broken if you left us.. hell, i think i would die! please, don't think like that again. that scares the fuck out of me.."
"i-i'm sorry.."
the explosive boy engulfed y/n into a hug, pulling her back onto the bed. he had an arm around her waist and his other free hand lingered over to her's.
"b-bakugo!" y/n gushed, the female's cloud-like hair going misty.
"shut up, let me have this." katsuki ran a hand through her hair, soothing the trembling girl as she finally let out all tears she tried to fight back.
and they stayed like that for a while, eventually drifting off to sleep..
