A/N: Shoutout to safa2805 for being such a sweetheart. I love you so much my angel 😚❤ I was so de-motivated yesterday that I was ready to throw this book away and all my other work, but you helped me understand that it's okay to take criticism and hate and not let it get to me. I purple you my swtie 💜

Taehyung watched Jin closely as he rattled on about the plots he had seen. He was the same as usual, professional and courteous but something was different about him today. His skin was glowing and he had a small mischievous smile everytime he mentioned the Jeon name. Also, Taehyung had noticed Jin had walked in with a slight limp and looked a little uncomfortable when he had questioned him about it.

Taehyung refrained from telling him that he had indeed called on him last night but had received no answer from his hotel room. He had thought it odd but had then decided that Jin was perfectly capable of doing his own thing and he had no hold on him anyway to question him.

It was then that Jin's shirt had shifted slightly when he bent down to retrieve his work satchel, that Taehyung noticed a deep purple bruise on his neck. His eyes widened and he hissed at his own idiocy. Everything fell into place as Jin continued to extol on the virtues of seeing more plots before they decided.

Jin was seeing someone. Taehyung's heart constricted in his chest. He felt a shooting pain within himself but tried to control his emotions from being caught by Jin. He gulped down his water and excused himself on a pretext of a call. Jin nodded, smiling his angelic smile at him and he walked to the doors to go outside as quickly as he could. His heart was breaking.

He had known Jin for the last 3 and a half years and he had tried many times to get to know him better. He had made his intentions clear when he had asked Jin to be his boyfriend. He was really and truly in love with him. But he knew that Jin kept a part of himself hidden from the world and he respected that. He didn't push him. He was a patient man. He knew his love would stand the test of time eventually.

Sadly for him though, he was too late. He had already noticed a beautiful change in Jin. He could see that he was happy and nothing mattered more to him that Jin's happiness even if it was not with him.

Taehyung gathered his thoughts and made his way back inside. He concluded his meeting with Jin and decided that he would go with him the next day to see some plots. They agreed on a time and place and Jin seemed anxious to leave. He kept checking his phone. Taehyung realised that he was probably meeting someone and he didn't want to stand in his way.

They spoke a little about their schedule for the coming week and then Jin excused himself to leave. Taehyung watched as a black SUV pulled up to the curb and Jin got in. He gave the driver a dazzling smile and Taehyung's heart was fit to bursting. He covered his face with his hands and cried softly. His love had just left him.

"Please hyungie.....I can't. I'm not ready for this."

"I'm not going to pressurise you baby but I did promise him a surprise. It's okay if you don't want to do this."

Seokjin sat in the car and fiddled with his hands. He peeked up at his hyungie and thought on the years that had separated them. He had done his best to forget him and their child but it had all come to nought. Here he was on his way to meet his child. His own flesh and blood. A small tear escaped his eye that didn't go unnoticed by Jungkook.

"Listen my angel, if you can't do this, I won't force you I promise. I love you baby. I just want to understand what you're thinking so I can support you in this."

"Why are you so good to me hyungie? I don't deserve this. I'm unworthy."

Jungkook couldn't understand this self loathing of Seokjin's but he held himself back from saying anything.

"Can you tell me why you feel like you're unworthy?" He asked Jin gently, holding onto his hand.

When Jin didn't say anything, he pulled over to the side of the road and switched the car off.

"Look at me baby. Let's forget about all this. We won't go to see Seojoon. Not until you're ready. I told you, I love you and I'm going to be here for you no matter what."

"Thank you hyungie. I just need time I guess." Seokjin wiped the tears away from his eyes. "I lost 3 of my children hyungie. I know they weren't from love like Seojoon but they were still a part of me too and it's really difficult to deal with that weight as well."

"Do you think it would be good if you talked to someone? You know, like when, and I'm sorry for bringing this up, but like when that happened with Wonwoo?"

Seokjin hugged himself tightly. He refused to look at Jungkook, who realised that he had messed up by bringing that up.

"I'm sorry my angel. I shouldn't have. That was insensitive of me."

"No hyungie. You're right. It did help me a lot back then. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad." He smiled sadly at Jungkook.

"Oh my baby. I promise, it will all come right. You'll see."

Seokjin held onto Jungkook who was rubbing his back slowly. He really hoped that things would get better. Maybe he truly just needed time.

Jungkook drove Jin to his hotel where he picked up his things and checked out. He would be staying with Jungkook for a few days.

"Baby, can I ask you again, will you be my boyfriend?"

"Not this again hyungie," Jin sighed heavily.

"I actually want to marry you but I know you'll throw me to the curb."

Jin's eyes widened at that. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think that Jungkook would want to marry him.

"Hyungie!!!"

"What's so difficult for you to understand Jinnie? I've told you a million times, I fucking love you. I want you in my life permanently."

"Do you even know what you're saying? Look at me hyungie! And look at you! We're world's apart."

"No we're not Jinnie! You and I, we belong together."

"You might think that but the world doesn't hyungie. The world is a cruel place and unfortunately we have to live in it."

"I don't give a fuck about the world Jinnie. I only care about you and our son. I told you, I won't pressurise you but so help me God Jinnie, I will make you mine's someday."

Seokjin burried his face in his hands. Jungkook would never understand him. And in that moment, Jin realised that he had been wrong. He had thought that he couldn't stay away from him. But in truth, the best thing for him was to leave and never return. He should never have returned.

Hey there my swties. I just want to thank each and everyone of you that supports me and my work. It's not easy to be a writer, especially one that tries to update daily but I do try my level best to give you stories that you can love and cherish. Some of my characters might be difficult for you to understand but I write them with imperfections, purposefully. Since to me, in reality, we are all not perfect. I like for my readers to identify with the characters they read. Some might be truly bad, or lost and confused, but it's these grey areas that give depth to a character and make them more believable.

I love angst, fluff and smut in my stories and my characters do take time to develop but you can't have perfection in them immediately or the story can never evolve. Thank you for being patient with me and I hope you all enjoy my work.

I love to my swties 💖

I purple you 💜
