"Ow! Hyungie! It hurts," Seokjin cried.

"I'm sorry baby. I'm trying to rub it gently."

"I know my love. Let me use this ayurveda gel instead. It helped me the last time my feet were swollen."

Seokjin removed the tube of medicine from his side drawer and Jungkook investigated the leaflet inside. Seokjin screwed up his face, irritated that Jungkook wasn't rubbing the medicine onto his sore calves.

The doorbell rang and Jungkook went to open it. It was Chang with haleomoni. Seokjin tried to sit up straighter and cover his legs on the chaise lounge in their room. His legs were really hurting now that he was 8 months pregnant. He was constantly under strict bed rest. He felt like he was having twins or triplets even with the way he looked. Jungkook often teased him that he looked like a beached whale. Seokjin didn't care. His biggest concern was that he couldn't see his toes anymore.

"I apologise for the intrusion son but I wanted to speak to you about something important," haleomoni said.

"It's okay haleomoni, you may come in," Jungkook gestured for Chang to bring her inside.

She took in the room and Seokjin struggling to get up.

"Chang, go help Seokjin."

Chang went over and did her bidding, helping Seokjin to stand and bow slightly at Jungkook's grandmother.

"I noticed your absense at the dinner table tonight and Sunmi said Seokjin was not feeling too well," she said, rather stiffly. "I wanted to speak to you both about naming the child."

"Of course," Jungkook said, "do you have any suggestions haleomoni?"

"Well I was hoping to hear what you might have thought of." She looked from Jungkook to Seokjin who had sat back down heavily.

"Well, Seokjin and I have been thinking and we want to name the baby after Jimin," Jungkook said quietly.

Haleomoni was quiet for a while. In that moment she really looked all of  her 86 years.

"I-I don't know what to say son," she said, rather gruffly. "I never expected that. And is this what you want too Seokjin?"

In the last six months of living at the mansion, Jungkook's grandmother had not spoken to Seokjin even once. He was slightly taken aback when she spoke and took some time to reply.

"It is my only wish haleomoni," Seokjin said and looked down, holding back his tears.

"Chang! Take me closer to Seokjin," she commanded.

"You would really want to name your child after his dead husband?" She questioned him.

"Haleomoni, Jimin was my friend. I loved him very much. I still do. He was the sole reason why I met hyungie. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him and miss him. If it were not for him, our Seojoonie would not have come into this world nor this baby. I owe my life to him."

"I never realised that you felt so deeply about this. I'm shocked."

Jungkook and Chang watched with bated breath as they interacted. Everyone knew that haleomoni was no fan of Seokjin's.

"H-he helped me to empower myself haleomoni. He taught me that I could achieve anything because he believed in me. If it were not for him, I would have still been on some stage, dancing on a pole in front of drunk men who only craved my body. Jimin treated me as a person, not an object. He gave me respect and taught me to respect myself. If it were not for him, I would never have learned to seek help and start to love myself."

Haleomoni looked down. She reached out for Seokjin's hand, slowly squeezing it with her old and arthritic one.

"Forgive me Seokjin. I have wronged you. I made you suffer and held you responsible for things that were beyond your control. Up until now, I have been holding back. My pride, not allowing me to embrace you as a son of this house. But your words, your actions and your feelings have won me over. I see your pure heart that was taken advantage of. I'm an old and biased woman Seokjin. I just wanted what I thought was best for my children. I never realised that the best was always in front of my eyes."

She blinked and a tear escaped her eye. Chang burst out crying, apologising profusely, he left the room. Jungkook just stood there,  stunned.

"Jungkook, please go get that idiot. I know I treat him badly but I love him so. Don't tell him that Seokjin. It will go to his head," she laughed quietly with Seokjin.

"Your secret is safe with me haleomoni," Seokjin fake promised and they laughed quietly.

"Now what is this medicine I see lying on this couch? Are you using it for your legs? They do look quite bad." She investigated Seokjin's feet and calves. His ankles were swollen too.

Jungkook returned with an emotional Chang and witnessed the two of them deep in conversation on the merits of the ayurveda gel.

"Try and prop a pillow under your legs whenever you lie down. It needs to be raised for better blood flow. Jungkook! Come and elevate his legs," she commanded and Jungkook rushed to do her bidding while Seokjin smiled softly.

Haleomoni was being so protective and sweet. Things that Seokjin would never have associated with her before. He had finally broken through her rough exterior. Seokjin was happy and smiling non stop as she delegated the two men to make him as comfortable as possible.

"Thank you haleomoni. But I'm feeling much better now," Seokjin smiled softly at her.

"You're welcome Jin. Jungkook, why are you delaying the wedding? Is there some reason?" Haleomoni deadpanned, enjoying how flustered her grandson became.

"I-I .... well, we didn't know. That is to say...... I don't know haleomoni," he looked down sheepishly and Seokjin couldn't take it anymore. He burst out laughing, his belly shaking as haleomoni joined him in witnessing her grandson's misery.

"Great! You're ganging up on me now," he whined.

"Awww my sweet hyungie. We're just messing with you. I'm in no state to walk down any aisle right now except a hospital aisle," Seokjin smiled at his harried fiancè.

"I know baby. I promise you though, that once our little Jimin is born, and you feel better, we will get married."

Seokjin smiled happily as the doorbell rang and in walked Mr and Mrs Jeon with Agatha trailing a bouncing Seojoon. They were worried about Seokjin and had come to check on him but were presently surprised to see him laughing happily with haleomoni.

"Thank you my son," Jungkook's mother said to him as they watched their family laughing together. "Thank you for bringing such joy into our lives again."

"I love him mother. He's everything to me. I'm so happy that you all see it now."

"We do my baby. We do."
