Q's Point of View
****************************
It's been two days since the attack and things are finally starting to get back to as normal as this island can be. Well, almost everything. Terrene has been stuck in a coma since her outbreak and the doctors say it's due to the fact she used so much power.
I shiver, recalling that moment and what she looked like. Floating there with eyes glowing an unnatural green. The man in her grasp, something nobody can see and just get over.
"She's been the talk of the town, you know." Zeph makes me jump as he enters the my room. I'm still finding it hard to sleep in a new bed, without my family but I keep it to myself not wanting to make a scene. "Sorry." He says after seeing my jump.
"It's alright," I say and scoot over making room for him. "I'm not surprised, she did an impossible thing in a world full of impossible."
Zeph sits there for a minute and I can tell he's pondering my statement. "The council is deciding that if she isn't up by tomorrow, we're going to have to do the trial without her."
Since there had been eight of us - including Cassie and her friends - that made it to the island this year, they had to decide whether or not to keep us or make the dreading decision to kick the four of us. I was kinda hoping they would send us back so we could see our families again, but I knew things wouldn't be the same.
"I just don't get why we all eight can't stay!" I say, flailing my arms frustratingly. I glance over and see that Zeph is looking down as his hand and I suddenly realize that if the council votes against, Zeph will have to leave not only his home but his dad as well. "I'm sorry it's come down to this," I say embarrassed and ashamed of my selfishness.
"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine," he says with a chuckle, trying to hide his fear. "Well, I'm going to check on Terr if you wanna come."
"Hasn't Sear kinda taken care of that?" I say which lightens the mood a little.
It was true, Sear hadn't left her side since the incident. I can tell he likes her, but if Terre-. I force myself to stop the thought not wanting it to be true and decided last minute to go with Zeph.
I just hope she wakes up because I need my friend back. It's not easy being the only girl in the friend group.

O.K.
So since the ol' rona's been killing our vibes lately, Kate and I have decided to write again! Sorry for not writing but we will be and we will hope to be getting into the book more. I'm going to make the executive decision of making Terrene the main character but will still have small chapters like this one where it will be others' points of view just to spice it up a bit. Hope you liked the last chapter and continue to read, I'm going to try and post 2 chapters a week. :)
