Day 3- Is Anyone Listening?

In a room filled with nothing but air,
and loneliness that settles in,
a mirror lies in front of me,
and here I begin:

Lies on top of the table
is a curious stack of cards;
each one holds a question
that begs to win the reward.

The first question screams aloud,
"Is what you feel right? Is it true?
That no one is listening,
not even you?"

My reflection holds a deep sigh,
as I answer with frustration,
"How could you know
from just a sensation?

Is communication that hard,
is it just a lost cause for you?
Are you really that afraid,
or do you not know what else to do?"

Hear me scream out,
just like a colonizer!
As I grow older,
and as I grow wiser.
Spare your ears a minute.
Don't become a miser.

Listen and put yourself
in other people's shoes.
Don't react to anything,
before taking time to choose.
